Excellent news! I think we can infer from this that Apple has nothing more then a skeleton crew working on 4.x at this point. I am sure all resources are hard at work on 5.x .
Cant blame them, they probably got more important things to focus on than patching jailbreaks.
Hope they become more lenient on JB in general.

Original Quicksilver had a very poor cooling solution with not much in the way of airflow. The original fan blew out if not mistaken. But that makes little sense in my view. I would have that fan sucking cool air from outside and blowing it across that sink into the system. Even open up a few of those holes on the back with a drill if you must its what i did. The big fan above the hard disc moves air to the outside of the unit. Also i dont know how you feel about this but i have notice manufactors are sloppy and stingy when applying the silicone compound between the cpu & sink. Make sure that CPU is coated 100% before mounting the heat sink. Also Quicksilver came with 2 fan guards on the power supply. One on the unit and one on the case. Remove one of these guards for even better flow of air. For example i had a 1.4 Merc extreme that would run all day at 1.47 after i made these cooling mods. quicksilver for the most part baths the componets in other componets heat and then sends that air across the sink out the system. Reverse that for better cooling. good luck.

Ugh, I just bought CleanMyMac. Could you elaborate more why these products are bad to use? Thanks
I've also noticed that CleanMyMac sometimes deletes important system files which can lead to problems down the road. Id just consider it a waste of $15 or 30 if you paid for a lifetime license :o and just never use it.

Yes, you can apply a password. And you can also set it so the network does not appear unless you type in the network name. Useful if you need to hide the network from someone.

I think you mean labels not studios. Most of the people working at studios work very hard for not much pay.
+1
He must have meant labels. Studios don't make hardly squat, and are not commissioned on sales.

I'm using the personal hotspot with my ipad, and so far the annoying thing is my ipad can't find the hotspot unless I first go into my phone and open settings and open the personal hotspot screen. THEN the ipad can connect. Anyone know a way to speed that up and not have to open the iPhone every time?
I'm seriously thinking of going back to separate 3G accounts.

Heyyy everyone,
Just wondering if anyone has seen or owns an iPhone 4 replacement back that happens to have a kickstand?
I know there are plenty of cases out there that have kickstands, but I think a replacement back with one would be pretty cool.
And if not, can anyone recommend a nice thin clear case with kickstand? Thanks!
Cheers,
KP
EDIT: Too many Forum tabs open... Whoops! =\

Apple has for a long time had HP scanners and cameras on their site--Ya know the company that sells the "e pcs." I don't this as being a lot different. I'm sure if Dell decided to get into the mp3 player market they'd dump the ipod and if Apple makes an icam, we'll see some things fly off of their pages. As it stands Dell is not only boosting Apple, but themselves by letting their potential customers know that their computers work with the worlds finest mp3 player. right? maybe

I also got what I wanted; 32gb White on Verizon.
I was about 80 something in line and was out of the store by 5:55. I'm impressed who quickly the sales were handled.
Love my 1st iPad and the smart cover is sweet!

I have been working on a magazine for this whole week (Quark Xpress v6) and finally got it signed off yesterday. Shut down the computer and had a well earned drink.
When I turned on the computer this morning the document has reverted back to last Tuesday! (meaning a lot of lost work).
Would this have anything to do with changing permissions? (I did play around with file info on some other files.)
I have 15 other jobs going and they all seem to be fine.
I have dual 80gb hard drives - and yes, after every big lot of changes I backed up the job - but the backup drive says the same!! Anyone with any help would be greatly appreciated.

I typed "crappy mac" into Bing and Apple's store was a sponsored result. :apple:
I clicked it so Apple could pay Microsoft for the click.
That's funnier.

Hi:
I have a pickerview with two dependent component that use a dictionary. All work fine but i want show two result in two label according with your selecction in the picker.
How i can do that??

Not 100% sure what you're looking for. Are you looking to extract the values from the picker or overlay the labels.

My thought was that as the the other footage is DVPro NTSC converting it to DV NTSC would be transcoding to a closely matching format. But it didn't seem to help any...
NTSC DV is 4:1:1, which is terrible on its own, and doubley terrible if the originating H.264 clips were SD, as you'd be going from 4:2:0 to 4:1:1, so effectively ending up with 4:1:0.
Is this what you're seeing? You need to be exact about when exactly it starts looking like garbage.

I finally updated to 4.2.1 and what a disappointment. I can no longer use my sd card connection kit. Says there is not enough power. I would not have updated if I knew this. Is there anyway around this? Software in Cydia possibly?
Ditto here, except that I knew it was going to happen. Very frustrating.
I have just been hoping there would be a fix soon.

Would you care to elaborate on this, and its security implications?
Also, if you modify your httpd.conf file (which *is* the best method, but rarely available in shared hosting environments), don't forget to restart Apache ;)
If the file is writable, it depends on the user who owns it. If it is writable by the user running the web server, someone might be able to write a shell script into that file. Now that it has execute privileges, it's not that far of a stretch to get it to execute.
A good rule of thumb is don't give any more permissions than are necessary. If it only needs to be readable, then there's no reason to give write or execute privileges. Many security incidents happen due to lax security. Don't be one of them.
Also, you're right on with the shared server piece. I didn't recognize that the original question was concerning a shared web server.
