Any professional copy shop should be able to take your sequential, 5.5" x 8.5" size pages and turn it into a booklet with binding in the middle. My understanding is that they have super-expensive machines that can do that without much effort.
I don't think you need to futz around with a non-sequential layout unless you plan to print this out yourself without the use of fancy $40,000+ copiers.
You know, that's a good idea.
Here I was so caught up in the idea of getting it to be a final version, I didn't even think of that. Let the machines that are designed to do this do the work....

wow... that is such ****! pardon my french but that is rediculous... they gonna discount the bill by a 30%? they ought to. totally unacceptable.
I got verizon, and I RARELY get dropped calls nowadays, the service got better over the years... im not gonna lie and say it never happens, but i dont remember the last time i had one.
to be fair with AT&T i gotta ask, are those calls only 30 seconds long or 30 minutes long and then gets dropped? 30 second dropped call would piss me off compared to a 30 minute one. if it drops at 30 minutes AT&T is doing ya a favor not accidently running up the minutes hahah

I just found that the person that was beat up was transgender and this was a hate crime. How come this is not all over the news? I guess hate crimes are okay now by black people but if a white person did this it would be the end of the world.

Any thoughts on peripherals? I know new keyboards/mice/trackpads sometimes accompany an iMac refresh. Maybe we'll see the trackpad come standard now, in anticipation of Lion's new multitouch gestures. Any of you backlit-keyboard dreamers out there hopeful? (Personally I'd just like to see a wireless, non-backlit keyboard with black keys, to match the notebook keyboards.)

I hope MobileMe will be free. Syncing with Google via exchange on iOS is decent but there are too many quirks, like not being able to put in custom fields for contacts phone numbers and email addresses (i.e. John Home), and archiving messages when the trash can button is pressed, etc. Also, I want to move away from google calendar because it has been so unreliable these days. So sick of seeing "Oops, we were unable to save this event. Please try again later" after I just spent 2 minutes typing it all in.

I'm going to a MFA writing program in the fall; would love to see how this turns out. I use Word exclusively but can't shake the feeling that there's a better way to do things.

Why is there no spending limit that you can set per purchase?

1) Unrealistic expectations of traders (thought results would be better)
2) iPod sales rate dropping (hard to grow when they own the market)
3) No really big MacWorld announcement this year
4) Overall sales of iPhone slowing and not spectacular during holidays
5) Sales of iPhone in Europe lower than expected
6) China told Apple to get lost (no iPhone sales to largest market)
7) iTunes may be #1 music site but Amazon hurting it. Also qtrax may kill it.
8) Netflix set to take air out of movie rentals from iTunes (free vs. rent)
9) iTunes loss of TV media as they fight with studios over revenue
10) Even though Apple's percentage of PC sales has gone up, that means

Will definitely buy it if it comes out and isn't too expensive. Definitely a market for these devices. My friends keep asking me whether Apple releases a tv. When I point to the Apple TV, they walk away.

I was going to spring for the refurb i5 at $1449 but then I saw the late 2009 i7 for $1369 and was wondering which model I should go for.
I'm honestly leaning towards the i7 and have a lot of faith in apple refurb products.
Apple refurbed are the best you can find in most cases.
Apple never puts previously damaged hardware on the refurbed store, only open boxed then returned products, or products at End Of Life (EOL). You will find TONS of the previous models on there for 15% off or more.
Any damaged goods always get parted out and used as Genius Bar parts for repair.
There are TONS of things I don't like about Apple, but they actually do refurbished good very very well.

"Android" can have their marketshare... I don't think it bothers Apple in the least.
That's the point though - to compensate for the lack of profits from hardware sales, Google flood the market with their OS to make up their margins through ads and apps.
Apple are bothered and hence tried to make it more attractive for developers to use Apple over Android through Ad-Sense, thus reducing the attractiveness of Googles OS
In the end they'll probably make similar amounts of money but through slightly different routes

What if :apple: is just buying time with late release of White iPhone 4 and continuing to push forward with iphone 4 production, for them to get the North Carolina facility up and running to start their own carrier and let existing contracts expire? No crack smoked here, just talking out loud.
