1) Since I140 never required the PD to be current how can one explain the backlog on I140 applications? They used to premium process those it in one month.
2) If 180 days pass since the I485 receipt date but I140 is not yet approved can one use AC21 safely?
(I understand the risk of having the I140 denied and being out of status. But aside of that... )
My understanding that the H1B cannot be ported once you have I140 pending without having to redo your I140 and I485.
The lawyers that created those laws must have been on something ...

For Nov 2005 PD...how long before we can get GC
Technically you have to wait till Aug 1.
Chances are, you will get your GC sometime in early August :)

I worked for company A as a full time employee from May 21st,07 to July 11th,08 and then company B filled my H1B transfer on June06th,08 and I joined company B on June 17th, 08 as a full time employee.
So there is a overlap, I mean I worked for company A and Company B as a Full time employee from June 17th,08 - July 11th,08 and got full time salary from both of these companies.
1. So will it be a issue, if companyB or some other company sponsers me a Green card in future?
2. Can I use the experience letter issued by the CompanyA for Green Card purposes? If not then shall I mention to my attorney/Company who will sponser me Green card that I worked for companyA till June 16th,08 and there is no overlap.

Thanks guys. I just sat down and started trowing things on the canvas. It all came together by accedent. I still have some other little stuff to add to it.
I know it is kind of old school to use radial blurs and scan lines but the look so cool.

My LC application (RIR PD Oct 2003) from company A is pending in P-BEC. My RIR got denied recently in Nov 06 and my company informed me that they are considering to use TR->RIR conversion to upgrade the LC to RIR. Can somebody please tell me the process of TR->RIR converion? How long it takes? Pros. and Cons. ?Any help is greatly appreciated
Meanwhile company B filed an LC (RIR PD March 2005). This is also pending in P-BEC. But the lawyer has not received any case number nor 45 day letter.The lawyer is not giving much information. Can somebody please tell me the process?

I think Ubaidu's problem is that his degrees are in a different field of study from that of his job. For EB2 the USCIS will surely look into the relevance of the Masters degree to the job description.

*NOTE: For February, 2A numbers EXEMPT from per-country limit are available to applicants from all countries with priority dates earlier than 01MAR04. 2A numbers SUBJECT to per-country limit are available to applicants chargeable to all countries EXCEPT MEXICO with priority dates beginning 01MAR04 and earlier than 01MAR06. I ordered a Pentax Optio W80 and plan to use it for underwater shots in a very clear Ozark river. Plan to photograph fish and fishing scenes.
Will I need to concentrate on quiet water? Will moving water distort the image like it does from above?
Any advice concerning any aspect of this appreciated.

In general, macro lenses around 100mm are good for most kinds of macro photography. They have too much working distance for use on a copy stand, and not quite enough for skittish and/or dangerous insects or small animals. For general purpose stuff, the angle of view is such that you get enough background isolation to be worthwhile (you can rotate around your subject just a bit to get a highlight out of the background, while a 50mm macro takes in more background and makes this difficult).
I got a used Tamron 90mm, and let's just say that the build quality does not inspire confidence - however, the image quality is excellent. From what little I've seen of the Sigma 105mm macro (and from the many images that the members here have posted), it appears to have a bit better build quality and fine image quality as well. The Nikon macro is not going to be much better, if at all, in image quality than these, and you will pay dearly for the brand name. The one macro lens to avoid, however, is a "Phoenix" macro that only goes to 1:2 (that means that you can't get enough magnification for most small insects and flowers to fill the frame) and is most likely more cheaply built than my Tamron. Almost every other macro lens goes to 1:1 these days, and you can get the nicer ones used from KEH for not much more, so there's no reason to buy not-so-ideal lenses that you'll outgrow in no time anyway.
