gee wiz apple... 1 whole year? frick, and i just bought the logitech wireless desktop...
I have a Logitech Wireless MX 1000, and I love it, and wouldn't trade it for the world, and especially wouldn't trade it for a wireless Mighty Mouse.
A USB Mighty Mouse came with my G5, and I just stick it in my laptop case so I can have a backup mouse so i don't have to use the trackpad when I travel. I figure that's about all its good for when you have a really high-quality mouse like the MX 1000 laying around :-)

I was about to correct your first post (politely) by saying that you can use AFP with AppleTalk disabled.
Good call... I initially thought you did have to have AppleTalk enabled for AFP to work, and actually have always had AT enabled. I guess I can turn it off now :)

Is it just me or does anyone else think that if a company never uses a patent it should go pub domain after x number of years? This is tantamount to cyber squatting IMHO.
Who gives a crap if you thought up a great idea if all you are going to do is sit on it and never use it.

Why would anybody with limited know how about TV manufacturing go into that field?
USING somebody elses TV to display whatever makes much more sense.
I could see them coming in with a blockbuster smart projector device.

They won't do it because the competition wouldn't give them scree at a decent rate. LG, or Sony are hardly going to turn around and give them screens at a rate which would mean competition to their own products.

Shot out of the window on a recent trip back from Pittsburgh. I was a bored passenger and decided to experiment a little. Came across a stretch of trees and thought a longer exposure would make an interesting photo. It's fairly drab, but I like the earthy tones it exhibits. Reminds me of some abstract art I've seen.
I could definitely see it as a great texture to use for photoshopping something. The earthy tones are definitely nice.

Thread hijack over -- AAPL stock is down just to create an opportunity for common folk to buy it.
I bought recently at 140. Even though the stock has dropped even further, I'm not worried!
I just wish the stock would split, so I could buy a lot more shares.
It will rise again!
On a side note, I was about to short Apple and Google a few months ago... should have listened to myself.

I would love to see that but I doubt they will do it due to time lost of Steve's engineers making it to Vegas for a week. Most of Steve's boys talk one or two days and they are back to work. There are other venues larger than Moscone closer than Vegas but not as convenient. I am surprised they haven't split it into a two week event with one week Mac and the other iOS. Offer tickets for one of the weeks and a superpass for both.

I'm gonna guess this cloud service, or data-center has nothing to do with storing your music online. I am of the mind that Apple likes to KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) and just keep a master copy of a song in their data-center and stream it. Why would any company waste precious space holding a stupid copy of 'Holla Back Girl' over a few million times, ****ing dumb. This is probobly why it hasn't launched yet, license agreements, they have had lots of time building this Data-Center.
Plus for those complaining about 20 bucks a year, don't worry it only cost Apple a BILLION dollars to build. You really expect any company to throw a billion dollars at something without any profit to be made?

People get beat up for no reason all the time. It doesn't have to do anything with bullying or the victim being a transgender. From what the victim said, the attackers used a standard "excuse" to start a fight. ("Why are you talking to my man?", if I understood correctly.)They said "Why are you talking to my man?" to a transgendered woman in a women's "restroom"? :confused:

Here's my latest and greatest A silverstone ft02 case

It has a unique design in that it provides positive cooling. The motherboard is rotated 90 degrees, the all the air is pulled up from the bottom and push out from the top. Not the typical pulled in from the front, side and pushed out the rear, top.

Very efficient, my temps went from high 40s to mid thirties. I'm able to over clock my 2.8Ghz core i7 to 3.25 and maintain mod 30c temps.
The case is very mac like in that its a clean design, and the cutouts hides the cables. The puppy is quite silent as well :D

Nope, the thing you haven't understood is that I thought it was a Clever idea, as right after, the attackers left. This is old news, the prototypes where shown last month. They actually use Apples igesture software very cool stuff. If you swipe your finger off the screen to the left it is like reverse, finger swipe off screen to top is volume up, finger slide on left or right side mimics scroll... I can't remeber where i saw all the different igestures will have to look. I talked about this about a month ago regarding there new code name"Freedom" let me see if I can find an older link on my ramblings...
The new Ipod has no buttons, no scroll wheel, no headphone jack, no dock connector. In other words freedom from everything. The most aesthetic piece of technology ever conceived.
1. Power Supply through SplashPower. Similar to those toothbrushes and razors that charge through there plastics with magnetic fields.(strange they haven't updated there site since September 05...did Apple acquire them?)
2. Transfer of songs...Wireless USB
3. Headphone jack...Bluetooth
4. Navigation...virtual touchless/touch screen. As your finger moves over the ipods screen a virtual scrolling interface pops up allowing for more screen real-estate. fingerprints?? not to worry you don't actually have to touch the screen, embedded in/behind the lcd are capacitors that can tell, which direction your fingers are going. Igesture software will be used to give commands(Apple needed to add another way to input besides pop up scroll wheel... need some sort of tactile or directional point to start from... otherwise on a completely blank screen, which end is up??) I guess this way you can still activate and use the device while it is in your pocket, and even a blind individual could use igestures.
5. Hold Button/Power On fingerprint screen identification(great for if your ipod is stolen)
So, there you have it a completely enclosed ipod, so elegant as not to have a single button or port opening or anything but a beautiful screen... Apple will release the in 2006... Freedom... free your self from everything.
