Somebody needs to clean their screen. Why'd you buy a Magic TrackPad? Do you like it? Is it really that much better than using a regular one or using a standard mouse?
I use one with my MacBook Pro, I just feel it is cleaner and easier to use than a mouse and more convenient than the MacBook's (when at a desk).

Although some will argue this, I think the exclusion of the remote on the Mac Pro is because it will be on the new displays that will most likely come out in January... I would also expect the new displays to have iSight's built in... clearly this is something Apple is heavily pushing and I think you'll see this across the line... I can't see Apple updating the actual iSight (note in the Keynote he said the new version in Leopard will support MANY new kinds of cameras)... I think you'll see Apple leave the 'external' camera options to third party developers or simply just encourage people without Sights to use FW camcorders... besides, what good would an IR receiver be on the tower for those who put it on the floor...
Overall, the Pro's are amazing (except will need to wait for PS CS3) and the Leopard demo was, at points, jaw dropping... I second one of the previous posters at awesome MacWorld is going to be in January... it will be quite a show...

Here's mine for the day, used Flare for Mac ti add the filters. It's a pretty cool app that saves me a lot of Photoshop work haha, I don't add filters very often in the first place. This was taken at the Docks in DC for my last shoot of the quarter for my Specialization Preparation class. Hope ya like it!

Ever since the iPhone came out Apple has been trying to get Adobe to write a more streamlined mobile flash player. one that:
1) won't crash and possibly make the phone reboot
2) won't drain the battery too much
3) won't tax the processor so much that it creates a heat problem
4) is secure enough to keep malicious code from running on your phone.
For whatever reason Adobe has been unable or unwilling to do this. So, Yes Apple has created restrictions, but very necessary ones. Anything less would be bad for the end user and for Apple's reputation.
I paid for my iPhone, not apple.... How about apple let me make the choice if I want flash to run on my phone or not.

They're skipping the whole touchscreen/tablet thing and moving straight to 3D holograms that allow you to type, drag/drop and everything else by moving your hands and fingers around inside the hologram.

Ah, I didn't see that.
It's hardly very prominent, considering this is meant to be a, potentially, very dangerous problem.
Anyway, I can't be bothered to call Apple, I'll just wait and see how this all pans out.
Yeah, not very eye-catching. It's the same size as the copyright info. Looks like some more insignifcant legal disclaimer stuff.

Are we under the assumption that the Lion upgrade will be $29?
I haven't been around for a release past Snow Leopard so I'm not sure what to expect. It'll be $129 — the same as ALL of the past upgrades except for Snow Leopard which was Leopard but just a slimmed-down, rewriting of the OS. Apple felt that without a lot of core new features being added, they would give the public a break and just charge a nominal fee for Snow Leopard, rather than the typical $129.
Don't listen to anyone who says differently. It will be $129.

more MP's ≠ better photos.
Yes, and that's why Apple is going to increase MPs from 5 to 8 but, obviously, it's "not about the specs".

So there is more room for growth with Mac sales. Of course this is true because the market % is so low that it's easier to go up. This is like how Android skyrocketed, just more room to grow when nobody has your products.

My guess is that iTunes will support wireless syncing of content, contacts, calendar etc over home wifi and public wifi for iPhone and iPod touch (also over edge for iPhone).
Another possibility is that you will be able to buy movies & other high def content for download from your iPod tough/iPhone, your home iTunes will then download it and transfer to your Apple TV automagically.
Alex.

Apple needs to pull its head out on this one.
Flash eats battery! Ok, and? So does fieldrunners. Guess what? I can decide if I want to spend the power playing it!
Flash is full of archaic crap. Well dang. The web is full of archaic crap. Including a lot of flash. But it's still the web, and I still need to access it.
Flash isn't necessary, you can use Java, Wookie, etc... whatever. Ok, sure, I'll just write every website I need to visit to find my travel reservations and itinerary, and have them rewrite their page in a new format.
This stupid tug of war leaves the end users in the lurch. Adobe, clean up flash, Apple, encourage them and accept that it ain't gonna be perfect.

You are limited by the focal length, which is dictated by the thickness of the device. There is no magic way around this.
Which is probably what they thought when they were designing the first SLRs.
Until someone had the brainwave of sticking in an extra lens element to accommodate the mirror.

If it were glasses-less 3d... wouldn't it need a retina display at 240hz? 120fps for each eye? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong!

Right. When you eat off of your gear you're always going to find ways to not spend SO MUCH on said gear so you can put more food in your mouth. Which is why I really don't have an issue claiming student-ship if I am able to. I personally don't do it with certain software titles, but I will do it with Apple hardware and others. AVID Media Composer is $2500 regular price give or take a few $100s. The EDU version is $295 . . . . . okay I am going to hop on that EDU bandwagon right now.
I agree, and am fortunate to have a legit edu connection. That said, companies vary on their proof requirements. Apple, in my experience, will give you the edu price by just saying you are a student/teacher/buying it for one. I've seen them sell a Mac at that price to grandparents, etc. Pretty decent policy. MS just requires a .edu email, but then again technet is so cheap that the edu discount pales. of course, with technet using the software in a production environment is a license violation.
Just as the lenses you acquire in still/video photography will cost more than your body, software will be the major cost in building any rig.
Oh ya. I have several pieces of glass that individually cost more than the body. People complain about software lock in; MS / APPLE ?Adobe et. al. have nothing on the camera manufacturers and their proprietary mounts.
Read the comment thoroughly. ANYONE can learn the apps, any goofball like you stated yourself in the bold. I didn't put any time restraint on this goofball. But I did mention that it take far more to be a good designer.

Sweet! I have a shortage of my favorite Beatles songs on my iPod. Most of my Beatles CDs had at least one scratch that prevented proper ripping into iTunes.
Apple, you have that fixed in iTunes yet? I'd like to see the Cancel button actually work and also the ability to selectively rip or bypass any one song I want to on my disk.

Is anyone else having the issue with the double vibrate when you get a text?? I had this issue with 4.3 and I have heard no complaining about it. Everyone I know who has 4.3 has the double vibrate so it's not just my phone, but I haven't heard anyone else say anything. It's pretty annoying. Anyway, I was just wondering if this fixed that issue or not.

On a related note, isn't it a bit weird Apple hasn't announced any sales figures yet? They're usually quick to brag when devices hit a million sales in a short amount of time.
I've been wondering about this as well. I wonder if they're avoiding such announcements until either 1). the international launches are complete, or 2). they don't want any negative press backlash about these supply chain "issues." I think the numbers will be huge.

A couple years ago, 4G meant LTE. Now it means HSPA+. I have no doubt that the next iPhone will be 4G capable, but it won't be LTE. I doubt that delaying the typical launch would have anything to do with including 4G.

That is if America is under immediate threat, hence Bush's big case about WMDs before invading Iraq. America was under no threat from Libya. The President cannot simply go to war because he feels like it. That is definitely not a power he has by the Constitution but it is a power he'll take nonetheless. The Executive branch has taken more and more power away from the legislature and, most of all, the people and I don't think it'll stop until things get much worse.
I really hope he isn't under the Keynesian impression that war is good for one's economy. This is the mark of an empire in decline.
America did not go to war. It was a UN resolution. If America went to war Muammar Muhammad al-Gaddafi would be dead by now. Anyone who wishes this comparison to Bush is a fool.
