I suppose there could be a bit of news here for non-photographers.
As I understand it, Aperture uses OS X's built-in RAW image processing. If I remember rightly, the last Aperture update accompanied an OS X update. So it's possible 10.4.8 could be just around the corner (i.e. sometime this week?)

iPhone is a great target because of the "holier than thou" culture that Steve Jobs helped create. And now they come out with a phone with a shatter-prone back, flat/square as a brick, still retains the small 3.5" screen and the antenna problems. This is all excellent fuel for the haters.
Even with all that it's still the best phone out there, but the 4 is an even easier target and it's starting to wobble on it's pedestal. Now, when you pull out an iPhone 4, you can expect "oh, you got one of those."
You can thank Apple for making this all worse with it's stupid design decisions on the iPhone 4. They have a chance to fix a lot of this come June.
Not that they need to change anything, obviously. Keep the same shatter prone design, horrible ergonomics, 3.5" screen and just bolt on the A5 chip and everyone'll still lap it up ;)

That house was a dilapidated piece of junk with little "history". The local conservationists and planning authorities had to raise hell about something to justify their existence.

It really looks like movies may be hitting the iTunes Store. I also am wondering....could they also be integrating the Apple Store into iTunes?? It would be cool to buy a new iPod right from within iTunes and maybe....possibly have it shipped with all of your iTunes purchases on the device.....that would of course require a firmware/iTunes update? Anyway I am sure we will probably all be disappointed.
Just make it an option upon checkout if people use the shopping cart feature...

OK, since the specs changed on the 23" but the model number stayed the same (M9178LL/A), how can I tell whether the monitor that I ordered from Apple is old stock or new?

Hardline lets you get killstreaks a kill earlier. Hardline Pro lets you double tap X on a killstreak crate to switch out what's inside.
So, with this setup you can enable: SAM Turret for 3 kills, Care Package for 4, and Sentry Gun for 5. You can then switch out every single one of those for something random, which is usually Napalm Strike, B-52, or Valkyrie Rockets.
It's so overpowered.

I've only had them swap for Chopper Gunner, Gunship, or Dogs on about 5 times, with the occasional SR71. This is out of probably 250 or so packages. But either way, Treyarch have said that this for sure will be patched in the next update. It will then only work on actual Care Packages, and not the SAM or Sentry drops.

Just set one of your killstreaks as Sentry, and then throw it in the middle of the map when you get it. Then just wait for the enemy to get it, and kill it once they've deployed it.

They could have actually done both ... making the active perspective a sunken button (darker) with a slight raised frame around it and kept the inactive perspective raised (lighter). You could still push or slide depending on your whim.

Apple is not going to waste their time making a 4G phone for a network that is literally 35 grains of sand tossed out on to the US map.
There is way too much hardware development, patent fees, marketing costs and other things to consider. Apple would not go through all those costs just for a measly 4G LTE network.

What is this hideous faux leather iCal format ????? It's just like the truly awful wooden background that somehow crawled in to the iPad. Please think again on this. It will look abysmal on a large iMac or MBP screen. It looks like a child's toy. :o

Verizon won't have much time to run this commercial. With 3G 850MHz roll-out in full momentum, AT&T will begin to cover more geography quickly.
As for dropped calls, I have dropped calls with all the carriers including Verizon. It is fair to say that AT&T network quality earlier this year did decline substantially as more iPhone's came on the network. In my area, San Francisco, the recent launch of 3G on 850MHz has returned the network to a good quality level. Also, in-building coverage issues for 3G are past.
IMHO, and the way I purchase devices, what I have in my hand is the device that will serve me best. I have tried WinMo, Palm Pre (cheap plastic, a true joke of a device) and Nokia Symbian, Blackberry and Android. The iPhone is the phone I have settled on for the past 2+ years. Pre iPhone, I was always seeking for that once device that met all my needs. I finally have it.
As for you Verizon users, CDMA is a dead end technology that most carriers in the world are abandoning. Look at what's happening up north with Bell and Telus. Over the next couple years, the new phone assortment for Verizon and Sprint will dwindle relative to HSPA. Eventually Verizon will have LTE but they won't have the geographic coverage of their existing network before 2015.
Lots to think about when you choose a network provider or device, huh?

They may have some AMD's in a lab in some basement "just in case", but I would be totally blown away if they came out w/anything at this time.
If I remember correctly (and if not Im sure someone will correct me) the big incentive to go to intel, besides cooler chips, was intel money. Intel sharing costs of marketing that goes along with exclusive contracts and the "Intel inside" campaign (thankfully no stickers on macs).
The other reason is just marketshare. Apple's limited number of models works with its marketshare size. Increasing the number of board design would probably incur higher costs at this time, at least from having to provide support for 2 different designs. I doubt Apple wants a MacBook Intel and MacBook AMD at this time. It might at a future date with more marketshare.
Another possibility against an AMD Mac is the confusion that might occur in marketing. The message right now is clear: pwerful dual core intel chips and elegant people friendly designed apple software. Why throw, oh also AMD into the mix?
