Good point, one key to a good book reader is a high pixel density. Of course, that would be great for viewing video, as well..

agreed, but thats why i am very very interested in the typeface. the thin (notably thin) typeface suggests something beyond just the obvious "wireless stuff" connotations of the wording. if that phrase was set in the normal Myriad Pro weight thats one thing, to me this says more than just that.
but then again i am a designer and clearly have a fetishistic relationship with typography. so i may be wishfully thinking. :)

That's my concern too... Mine developed random shutdowns a week ago and it is truly random - it's happened on occasions when I wasn't even pushing the cpu much. I'm afraid the Mac will shutdown as I'm applying the firmware fix...
I have an appt at a genius bar later tonight to send my MacBook in for the random shutdown issue. I'll install this first and see how it goes. And if I brick it... well that's another thing I can tell the Apple employee :rolleyes:

Stop making excuses for US companies that build their products elsewhere. We CAN manufacture things in this country; we used to do it a lot more and the products were affordable.
My Apple IIe says "Made in the USA" on the bottom. It's sad that we never see that on computers anymore.

I am sure someone has a 24" S-IPS panel.LGs doesnt say if it is or not.
It would be nice to see Apple make it 24" though, but if the current panels dont permit them to do it at the same quality, I am fine with it staying the same.

Anyone watching Studio 60 on NBC tonight, Matthew Perry was using an aluminum 12" or 13" MacBook Pro. You could tell that it was a MacBook Pro and not a G4 because there was an iSight built in to the lid right above the screen. If you Tivo'd it, check it out! it was approximately 20 minutes in to the show.

No, the way this works is to effectly by-pas all that. All buffer overflow "hacks" do this.
What you do is send a poorly formatted, out of spec network packet. The driver reads the packet which is oversized and places it in memory. The packet being over sized over writes some of the driver code. Some of this over written code is an entry point to the driver. So the next time that entry point is called the hackers code is executed. One you are able to incert your own code into the Kernel all that "permissions stuff" is moot because you have effectiviely loaded your own operating system code over top of Mac OS. In a real-world exploit the little bit of code in the first oversized packet would contain a loader that would read following packets.

So he thinks he's a rockstar programmer and should act like one. I think it's just ridiculous. So in the end the application was given to someone else to continue and nothing changes. So is this 2 seconds taken from his fame or what?
The Apple Application review process is going to be the topic for turmoil now? So after Apple is beat down, who is next to rise and beat on then. It's all becoming really insane to me. It's nothing more than flavour of the month reporting and debating to be all.

Maybe they won't be 100% compliant, but unless something earth shattering happens before 802.11n is finalized, I'd expect that many draft-n products could be made compatible with equipment using the the final standard, with little more than a firmware change.

Well it's gotten so bad that the ipods now need an ipod app button! what happened!? i don't even like ios to begin with. and who are you to laugh at this? I'm not going back to threads from 4 years ago to satisfy your laughter thank you. leave the damn apps for the phones or the ipads. I can say im laughing at all the people talking about how "horrible" the click wheel is to use but i don't, i could laugh at all the ppl with the out with the old and in with the new personality but i don't. Adobe is not making any new fans with this scheme. I went from MX Studio 2004 to CS4 to CS5, and they cant even give me a free minor update? Either it it has enough new features to release it as a major update, or it doesn't.

This action precipitated a change from polytheism to monotheism. I don't believe the commonalities that you point to indicate revisionist history. Many religions and mythologies share common concepts, common language, common historical figures, etc. Take Judaism, Christianity, and Islam as an example. They each have their own concepts of historical figures like Abraham and Jesus.

Interesting.....powerbooks and ibooks sold through this month but not the batteries in the Macbook or Macbook Pro....I'm thinking the newer batteries (for MBP and MB) are OK because they use Li-Poly cells instead of Li-Ion.

I checked with the Best Buy in my neighborhood, and I'm #3 on the list of iPad2 reserves for the 32gb/Wifi-only. Figured if I didn't receive a call from them today, they didn't get jack.
The thing that's just bugging me is I've spent 3 weeks trying to sell my 16gb ipad 2 AT&T model on eBay, and I still can't sell this turkey in the US! This must be some cosmic joke that is telling me, 'Hahaha! You paid more for your 32gb iPad2...you're never going to be able to make enough extra to pay off your guilt!!"
