Your insurance company will give you that letter....no specific amount but stating that international coverage is there. I have used that letter for Schengen visa in German consulate 4 times and it has worked well.
Has anybody recently applied for a Schengen Visa, if yes, can you please let me know what you did for the travel insurance. The insurance from my employer (Humana) says they cover international but do not have a letter that states the same and Swedish consulate website says the letter should specifically say "International Coverage".
What are my options. Can you guys suggest where I can buy the insurance from.

If you are not sure if you will have a job till October 1st, 2009, you can ask your employer/lawyer to file your H1 under visa to be issued abroad category and NOT file a H1 Change of Status petition. In this case, your H1 status wont start until you go out of the country and re-enter after getting H1 visa stamped at a US consulate in your home country. This way, even if you get laid off, you can continue to stay and work here until you have a valid OPT and a job irrespective of whether your H1 is approved/revoked. But the drawback here is that, if you end up still being employed then you wont be able to start work on H1 till you re-enter with the H1 stamp. Hope this helps....

My wife's passport is also expiring in Oct'07 so I spoke to my company's attorney and he said its not a problem and advised me that we will go ahead and file our (me and my wife's) 485. I am planning to apply for the renewal of my wife's passport sometime in July or Aug'07

send your all your transcripts to www.wes.org and ask them to evaluate your transcripts. They will confirm whether your education is equivalent to US Education or not.
My wife had a BA (3 years) and BEd (1 year) and after the evaluation, they considered it equivalent to a 4 year US degree with Bachelors degree.
Based on what you said, the lawyer is right, however you can use the EB2 stream using the BS+5 years requirement, rather than the MS requirement.

INS review have steps to lookup info in CLAIMS software to see if there is approved petition.

I've done alot of debugging to try figure the problem... (.show()) isn't a method inside the openFileDialog class...?
-The main thing i'm found when debugging is that when the openFileDialog is used to do anything in my program even if i don't use any information from it it doesnt write my TEST data to a xml file or any other methods i use to write an xml file... eg.
When i run these lines in conjunction to the rest of my code

String fileNameToAdd = "E:\\blah";
//String fileNameToAdd = DialogAddTo.FileName;
Commenting out the openFileDialog and just storing a random file name then the rest of my program (eg. writing the xml file and info wanted) works however when i get the file name from the openFileDialog it doesn't let me write any Xml files even ones i have working already.
If anyone has had the same error or has knowledge please reply cheers

Hi,
Me and My friend developed a product, which is ready to launch. The product is very good and two fortune 500companies are willing to implement the product and back us up.
Now my problem is I am on H1B working fulltime with a company and also have an EAD. At this moment I cannot leave my fulltime job. My question is , if I can be a partner with my friend in the new company we are forming( My friend is a US citizen), also will I be able to get paid ( as the developement of the product drained my pocket, this was the hope and I think we are close to reap the hardwork) . Also my wife is also on EAD , can she be the partner? Will there be any issue if I can do that.
Please help!!
As a H1-B employee, if you are a partner to the company, you can take profits. but you cannot take salary as a employee. For example, you could be a 50% partner for profits. But your friend(US Citizen) can be the working partner who actually signs all the checks and contracts etc.
Best would be to make your wife who is on EAD to be the partner. She can be an employee and a partner. More flexibility. I do not see any issue.

I have received a email from CRIS asking for more evidence on my wife pending 485 application. I guess that is related to the medical. Will I receive the RFE by mail or my lawyer does or both. My GC process is through a lawyer.

Simply applying and getting the receipt notice will not make him eligible to work and if he works and is caught he will be deportrd and will not be permitted to come back ever again. He will be under H1 cap also and will have to apply when next year quota opens. You also said that he got all his H1 papers then why he wants to risk it. Best route will be to get H1 stamped in India and come here.
