I think it is a positively scrumptious idea...

mac mini's are cheaper and faster than mini ITX pc's so they have taken over their market, a G4 obliterates a VIA cpu.

That vid card, is that a specific Mac card? Also ram must be installed in equal pairs.
Can't really think of much else. Are you getting a white screen with apple logo at all or just nothing?
Thanks for that, the ram is just a single, the 2 512sticks are not high enough spec, I have more ram on the way so I will see if that resolves the problem. The video card is a mac card, I do not get any screen activity and no keyboard or mouse, well no red light under the mouse so it is not being seen, both are apple pieces of kit.

They also did Epson printer drivers. I was waiting patiently for them because the drivers prior were all but broken.

I don't know offhand of any sources like you're asking for.
Have you read the UIPickerView class reference? There are several sample code projects listed there.
Your questions seem to be of two kinds: How do I make the pickerview do X? and what's a good way to implement the data model for a picker view? The first questions should be answered by the class reference. The picker view asks its datasource and delegate for information.
The data model is different and depends on what you want to display. Having an array for each component is an obvious way to implement this. If it's possible to calculate the value of a row you might not need a data model for it at all. This might be the case for a simple picker that showed numbers from, say, 0 to 99.

If there's any advantage to paper books, it's that you can take it places anywhere and don't need a computer. I had a job where I took books with me and would read when it was slow.
This is not much of an advantage, esp with iPads and other readers.
All my reading right now is eBooks! Easier to have several books open to cross-reference stuff too.

Hmm, I have noticed that printers are really quite musical...The music is often frustrating because the more of it there is, the longer you have to wait.
But this IS an interesting concept that I'd be willing to check out...For free.

I think Spikey got banned for obscene posts or something like that. Never heard of Kela.

Finish: To take pictures to the next level you have to do some post processing to make sure brightness, contrast, saturation and sharpness are all good. These images could all do with some work.
I agree 100% with the above. I don't think your photos are bad at all. I think they're good. They just don't have the same "pop" to them as pro photographer photos, and this probably has more to do with post-processing than it does anything else.
Admittedly, I don't do a lot of pp to my images either, and stick to what Lightroom 2.x can do for me. However, I still use it to touch up the contrast, play with the exposure and brightness, black level, and a few other things.

I've just finished setting up my recently acquired Tangerine 400Mhz DV iMac (which im writing this message from). It has Panther loaded with all the latest updates.
I managed to stick in a new 256Mb RAM chip for 25 bumping the total to 320Mb - runs very well.
I discussed the possibility of upgrading the hard drive which I will do when I can to a 40Gb 7200rpm, but the 10Gb does the job at the moment.
I wanted to know if there are any optimization tips on Panther which can help to speed up the performance of the unit.
Thanks

"Plays nicely with the MAC" doesn't give a lot of information about what you're planning to use to edit on the Mac.
In general, however, most cameras shoot video that is made for playback, not editing. So, if you're planning to use FCP to edit, FCP can import many different formats and convert them to formats made for editing. In addition, there are free and not-free programs that can assist in converting your camera format to an editing format.
If you can provide more information about your needs, you'll probably get more informative responses.
Good luck.
I need to shoot some video (instructional and informative) that I will do voice overs on for clarity and proper content.
Nothing crazy on the editing, just streamlining the video and maybe taking proper cuts from another video and pulling it in.

Umm, isn't that pretty much exactly what I described in my OP? Albeit I didn't use the phrase "dynamic overclocking".
Maybe? Perhaps? Depends? :p
Doesn't matter now ;)

I have never, ever heard of anything like this happening on the Underground; but then again I'm only 14 so I haven't been around that long in the grand scheme of things :P
No matter how slow it was rolling its still a big deal, even the slightest bump from another car can derail especially with the condition of the tracks on da tube
Yeah, I suppose, but the actual tunnel has only just enough room for a train car, so it would be less of a deal. Could still damage the tunnel wall though I suppose. It is pretty bumpy on most of the tracks in the UK I think.

This makes a lot of sense. I suspect we may see this transition far faster than we think. What if Apple were to announce an AMD powered Power Mac at MWSF? From a software standpoint it seems almost unthinkable, but if they've found some way to do it with a minimal impact..... hmmm....

Hi,
Has anyone been able to force an apple store to guarantee a Lion O/S upgrade for free with the purchase of a Macbook pro now?
Just curious.
Thanks!
Why would you be able to, apple owes you nothing and you aren't entitled to anything either.

Grrr. I should have bought the D700 when it came out. Still waiting for next gen.
Might go with D7000 and brand new DX lenses instead...

Ah, Ok. It's a .mov file. That sounds suspiciously Mac friendly. I presume .avi might be better?

Personally I find that I can type much faster and more comfortably on a shallow keyboard like a PowerBook keyboard than on a deep keyboard (like an old original IBM keyboard). I have one of the classic IBM style keyboards hooked up to my PC, and I don't like it much. If I were going to buy a new keyboard, I'd go for something like the Icekey.
