I added some facts about how much I paid in SSN, Medicare, Fed and State taxes (in the last 10 years that I have been here) as well as some detail about what I'm contributing (patent pending) to this country. Another thing I mentioned was about my volunteering during the 2008 campaign (implying that I would be voting for the president's party if I ever become a US citizen in 2050 :~).

I met Mr. Murali in a seminar arranged by IAFPE in Raleigh, NC. (I had some role in arranging the event.) He gave me his business card in the event and we shook hands.
After a few months Raleigh News and Observer reporter Karen Reeves contacted Mr. Murali for a story on EB immigration problems and he directed this reporter to me through IAFPE. And then I directed Karen to IV.
More than one year passed after this event and I changed employer. I was not sure about the letter that I had written to USCIS about employer change and I called Murali's office and got his appointment.
This was after the fact of changing employers. Murali went through the documents and told me not to worry and I most probably would recieve an RFE. That I did. He did not charge me a penny.
Then in last one year I really went through trauma of two RFEs and complete insensitivity and arrogance of my company's lawyer. I wrote e-mail to Murali three times in last one year and everytime he got back to me in one business day. All this at no charge at all.

One important observation is that EB2 India/China shouldn't celebrate until State changes their planning style. If CIS wastes visas due to swing movement by State, EB2 I/C doesn't move so much and numbers will be wasted. So it is important that IV push state to incorporate long term planning and add the CIS processing as a lead time to calculate visa dates movement at least for post July 2007.

The guy should keep his mouth shut. If the USCIS finds out about two wives, more likely he will be deported under 8 USC 1182(a)(10).
As for getting a visa for a girlfriend (unmarried couples), that's out of the question as well. You have to provide a marriage certificate.

I do see your point about the unfairness of allowing the old PD. In that case, what do you say about the cross-chargeability provision ? I guess the percentage of people availing of that provision is small, but it does happen.
For example, If you're from India and in EB3, but your spouse was born in a non-retrogressed country, you automatically jump to the earlier PD in your category, EB3-World in this case. Maybe the percentage of such cases is low, and hence there're no protests from the people waiting. I personally know of one colleague who had a later PD than me, but got the EB3-World PD since his spouse was born in Zambia. If EB3-World was current, he'd be green simply because his spouse was born in the "right" country.

My point is that getting an older PD in both cross category and cross chargeability are allowed today and people will continue to avail of them is they can. Per AC 21, it is soft quota - if you think about it, it is pretty simple.
In EB1, every country has 7% quota. Anything unused in EB1 ROW first goes to EB1 India and China. After that, the remaining number (say 4000) should flow to EB2. In EB2, every country has same 7% quota. Let us say 2000 is left unused. So, in all, 6000 extra visas should flow to anyone in EB2 category based on Pri dates.
