    Still Wondering why would they sent so early:(..never understand crazy CIS and its dynamic policies..

    I thought many who had submitted in July 2007 (July fiasco) had got FP notice...but not sure....

    anyways, does anyone know about what I am asking...once you get the biometrics processing stamp, does that mean that they have sumibbted for security clearance usiung the fingerprints or does it mean that the security clrearance is done ?

    Situation :

    My 485, 765, 131 applications reached USCIS on Aug 17th.

    Soon after that moved to a different apartment in the same city. Updated US Post office for redirection of my mails to the new address. However, the address in the USCIS has not been updated.

    on Oct 10th got the checks cashed for 485, 765 and 131

    The address was updated in USCIS only yesterday (Oct 24).
    I haven't got the reciepts yet and need to visit India on Nov 4th.

    My questions:

    1. Not sure if USCIS has already sent the reciept notices to my previous address. If they were sent to previous address will they be redirected to the new address or they will be returned back to USCIS?

    2. Some one mentioned that mails from USCIS will not be redirected but will be returned back to USCIS. Is this true?

    3. Approx. how much time it takes to recieve the reciept notice once the checks are encashed? for me it is already 15days over and haven't recieved the reciept notice at my new address.

    4. Will the reciept notice be sent to the Applicant and also the Attorney? Or is it just for attorney?

    5. Have got the print out the checks cashed with the reciept numbers for 485, 765 and 131. will those be sufficient to carry while travelling as I have not recieved the original reciepts yet. Ofcourse I have a valid H1 visa till 2010.

    Appreciate any suggestions

    My first FP was done in July 2007. I have not yet received second FP notice. Normally USCIS sends second FP notice after 15 months. Is someone else like me?

    TIN is not SSN. Employer would need SSN.

    I guess we need another tracker for those who received EAD, but no SSN.

    hope you are.. such issues could be taken up in appropriate forums for SSN or something like that. I thought IV is discussion issues with immigration now we are trying to discuss every other topic here. May be IP this kind of question because they already deal with all this kind of stuff.

    I am sure many of you would agree with the below observations -

    I lost money in the 2001 stock market because I believed that the market could never down based on all the glorious research reports..

    I lost money again in 2005 as I bought a house believing that a house value can only go up, again reading all the real estate boom that was happening around.

    Now, I keep reading that the Indian market is oh-so good that everyone should go back to India to live in the villas and ride around in the chauffeured cars:)

    Hmm, as always, I have been the last one to get on the boat before it went under. So, with all pun intended, what Indian ETF should I start investing and when should I buy my one-way ticket :rolleyes:

    according to the current regulations
    h1b is a dual intent visa - u can continue to hold h1 status even if 485 has been filed and pending
    u can also file for ead and keep both h1b and EAD statuses at the same time. working on ead will not make h1 invalid.

    I have similar situation, got all my Receipts and got FP appointment. My H1 expired in 1st week of September. I would like to have H1 extended but, my employer and lawyer are saying "it is not possible now, and you will get your EAD dont worry".

    Is there any way that i can get my H1 extended

    Hi what kind of lawyer he is to say it is ok work after H1B expires with no EAD in hand. Technically you cannot work until you receive your EAD.

    Ask your employer to see if he will do an extension if you pay for the expenses.

    Similar threads have been started before as lot of LUD's have been seen on 07/22 07/28 08/05 and 08/12. I think concensus was that this has nothing to do with 485 data entry as check cashing did not match the LUD dates. But interesting pooint raised in this thread that it might be about which july apps to batch transfer from LIN to SRC. 07/22 might be around the time when LIN started to look at first few july filers apps.

    This is very serious matter. EB community should strongly oppose
    It is time for Fight to Finish !

    I doubt if the above three even know what the whole deal on these 90K visas is. where they come from, what are at stakes, who lost them, why they lost them etc things. I agree with you that we need to call these and let them know that these belong to EB, hence recapture them for EB and request them to allocate special 50K/90K to Schedule A

    Hi

    We are in AOS pending status.iam on EAD.

    After seeing the economy Iam planning to send my wife to india. She is pregnant ( 2 months).
    Now I have job and in future if I get into any trouble with project Etc.. I need to pay the medical insurance and will have lot of financial issues.

    How difficult is to bring new infant to US from India while our AOS is pending and apply 485.
    ( Visito visa Etc..)

    Any suggestions.

    Even i'm in the same situation. My employer does not let me to interact with the attorney and is sad in following up.
    He is yet to apply for my PERM.

    Even i'm curious to know if there is a way to track it other than employer/attorney creating a sub account. I'm dead sure they would not create one :(

    My wife's passport is also expiring in Oct'07 so I spoke to my company's attorney and he said its not a problem and advised me that we will go ahead and file our (me and my wife's) 485. I am planning to apply for the renewal of my wife's passport sometime in July or Aug'07

    Yes. she has a valid H4 Visa stamping till Jan 10. and she is landing in Dec last week.

    Thanks in advance

    The H4 visa stamp if remains un-expired on the day she lands in the US is anough document for her to return back. AP is not required.

    Generally how many days it takes to get the actual RFE in hand.

    I saw status update on May 20th and yet to get the copy in hand.

    Me or my lawyer have not received it yet.

    What are the next steps if we don't get it soon.
    Waiting for the RFE for all 3 of us,wife,me and son. Called up USCIS and they said that it is sent to Lawyer's office. Would they send it to my home address also?

    Yes only after I-140 approval of both LC's.
    When we do dual filing with PERM...

    Can we transfer the PD of (approved : EB3 + I140 ) to PERM ( EB2 )?
