As far as i know you will be getting 1 receipt number for each application. so totally 6 numbers to keep track of for the years to come. By the when did u file? Was it for June filing? of July filing?

I am living in US and am currently on AOS (Adjustment of Status), my mom is staying with me on tourist visa but her visa expires in middle of June this year. Last year my father expired and my mother is incapable of taking care of herself alone (she is suffering from pysio frania which basically means she fears strangers and repeats stuff) so i would like to apply for Visa extension for her. Can anyone suggest what points i should take care of while applying for Visa extension for her? or is there any visa under which i can have stay with me in US as dependent??

Can you please also post some insurance names for everyone's benefit. Also, do you know the difference between consulting on 1099 vs. creating an LLC and consulting? Any advantage of having an LLC? My wife has done BDS from India and is currently here in the US with me trying to get into a dental school.

First to come from India, he probably needs to apply for a Masters in Public Health or some degree like that to come to the US. Then, he has to take the National Board of Dental Examinations (NBDE Part I and/or Part II depending on school requirement) and ace them. Also, TOEFL exam ofcourse.
Then, he can apply to the 25 or so schools in the US that actually allow foriegn-trained dentists to get admitted into their 2nd or 3rd year (again depending on school) of DDS classes.

I am in a very Bad situation it seems, please help.
I am working in US on L1B visa and Wife on L2. then Wife got a Job and her employer filled her 485.
In the mean time I applied for H1 (through a consultant, to get out of the L1B company). Looks like the H1 Got Approved. Now, I think the problem is, If I switch to H1, then she will loose her job and our chance of Getting EAD will go.
I do NOT want to go for H1, but EAD Is important to me. Is there a Way I can keep my L1? (so that my wife can keep her job)

Here in my city (Piracicaba - S�o Paulo/Brazil) there is a river (Piracicaba�s River) that crosses the center of the city.
I was driving near when i saw something not commom, a man fishing and giving the fishes to this "gar�as" (i don�t know the name of this bird in english). There was more or less 8 to 10 gar�as waiting the fish.
I took some photo and i post here to divide with you my friends.

My labor was filed in Feb 2003. I got my 45 day letter last year or so and was replied by my employer. But still now no word on it? What do you suggest? Are we supposed to contact USCIS through my attorney?

A frequent question that arises is whether a foreign national living in the United States for a certain number of years can obtain permanent residency based on the years of living in the United States. There is no law or regulation currently in place allowing foreign nationals to automatically obtain permanent residency based on the number of years residing in the United States. There are however, many ways foreign nationals can immigrate and obtain permanent resident status. Two ways to obtain permanent resident status are based on employment and family sponsorship.

Form AR-11 asks for the date my stay in the United States will expire. What date should I use? Currently, I am on working on EAD (I-485 pending) and last entered US on AP.

I once fell out of status because I failed to maintained 12 units. I filed for reinstatement and it was approved after 2 miserable years. I had no idea why it took them that long but in those 2 years I felt my life was put on hold. Good news, yes they do approve if you file however you have to have a good reason in your letter to convince them to reinstate you. Goodluck

My wife applied Sept 2nd , she got it very quickly I would say less than week. I applied Sept 17th ,called them Sept 29th ,they said u should get it by this week end. Let me know whats the result of your visit. Looks like i may have to visit them if i dont get it till this weekend. PM me your result of your visit.
