BUT
Considering that IOS 4.3 just want GM today - it would then show that iPAD 2 will be shipping with 4.21 on it.
which IS jailbreakable.
But when u first connect it to iTunes it's gonna ask you to update to 4.3 which we will just decline for the time being....
I doubt that the iPad 2 will ship with 4.2.1 Just because the GM was released to developers today doesn't mean that apple hasn't been sitting on it for a week or two.

This thing is like Bigfoot: every claims it's out there somewhere, but we never see proof.
9to5mac is reporting some stores already have the physical units in hand and are instructed to keep them in their back safe and not open until the 27th.

You cannot use 4.2.1 because the signing window for that is closed. You're going to have to just wait until a 4.3/4.3.1 jailbreak is released.

For most things, I don't have a favourite.
Apple (for laptops only)
Uniqlo if I'm in Asia, and only for things like underpants. :p
Nikon, but only because every SLR user is stuck with one brand anyway.
Otherwise, I get the best/aesthetically pleasing thing I can reasonably afford.

I have one and use it for snowboarding. I mount it to my helmet and record at 720p 60fps. I really like it a lot. The battery lasts around 4 hours after recording about an hour. Of course this is when its 20 degrees outside, so the cold does not help the battery.

I've held off on 10.6.4 because of Photoshop CS5 slowdown reports. This update was heavily beta tested from what I remember. Lots of problems. I guess I'll wait till 10.6.5.

Concerned about my adoptive dad's memory loss, I started folding in 2002. I know that it won't help him but it might help the suffering of those who are caretakers and sufferers in the future.

It is very easy to jb 4.2.1 now. The improvements to the OS certainly make it worthwhile as does the ability to run all the latest apps. Virtual memory hack is no longer required.

You can eventually control the alien mothership in space with 64GB of RAM.
Jeff Goldblum brought down an entire alien fleet with less than 64GB.....

Where on earth can I find them other than eBay? I need the following...
 display bezel
 backlight inverter board
aluminum access panel(the one on the bottom that you remove to take it apart)
 power cable
Obviously I'd be willing to purchase a parts iMac if the price were right and it had what I need.

Question about incase slider, is it as bad with bubbling up screen protectors as I've heard? The case is EXACTLY what I've been looking for but I NEED a screen protector. I've been looking at the power source hd anti glare.
definitely terrible. For sure won't work with anything other than a crystal screen protector (since everything else is thicker) and its gotta be good quality thats cut basically perfect. (cheapies will not work 99% of the time) and youll prolly have to apply the shield with the case on unless u got lucky or did a really good job.
incase slider is a great case tho.

Agreed! These apps are ineffective in removing all files/folders related to a deleted app. The only effective method for complete app removal is manual deletion:
Best way to FULLY DELETE a program (http://forums.macrumors.com/showpost.php?p=11171082&postcount=16)
Nice link for deleting apps, worked a treat. Thanks

how did you reinstall you jb packages?
i never tried just updating, i usually do a full restore, the last one i did i wiped everything of my phone and started fresh cus it was a little sluggish and slow, after that is been running nice and smooth
You reinstall JB packages through Cydia (one by one) or by using AptBackup or PkgBackup or some other app like these.
The update simply overwrites the files on your phone but still keeps everything intact like your music, photos, apps etc. The full restore will wipe out everything making you start from scratch.
I just did a full restore to 4.3.2 since mine was sluggish and slow. You can do either or but I always prefer doing a full restore since it clears everything out.

The next Mac Mini should be fine for that. If as hoped it gets a Sandy Bridge processor it'll make the MacBook Air look terribly slow in comparison for CPU intensive tasks, especially if you put a SSD in the Mini.
As for EyeTV, the current Mini isn't as powerful as many of us would like, but I find it to be adequate. Hopefully the refresh will correct this and allow smooth playing of live sport in HDTV using progressive scan.

This will NOT work for "any iPhone/iPod touch." This needs to be made clear for anybody who thinks this is a one-size-fits-all solution for everybody.
Apple cryptographically "signs" firmware releases these days. This happens during the restore process, and unless Apple signs off on the restore, you'll get an error message. Even if you could bypass the error message, without the signatures specific to your device for that iOS version, your device would never boot up.
Apple prevents downgrades by refusing to sign anything but the latest version of software. This is where Saurik's SHSH collector and TSS server come into play, for those that take advantage of his services.
The reason it worked for YOU is because you have a second-generation iPod touch and you were downgrading to something less than 4.0. Apple didn't start using device-specific (ECID-based) SHSHs until 3.x on iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 3rd-gen, and 4.x on all other devices that support 4.x (including iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2nd-gen). So, unless you are collecting your SHSHs for each Apple software release, if you are on 4.2.1 on your iPod touch, you would be able to downgrade to 2.1.1 like you did, but you would not be able to downgrade to 4.1 or 4.0.
Also, you didn't technically need iREB for this. All you used iREB for was to get the iPod into DFU mode. You can do that yourself, manually, using the power and home buttons...instructions for doing so are in abundance on-line.
If you have an iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod touch 3rd-gen, or iPod touch 4th-gen, you can't downgrade to any release without the corresponding SHSH for your device. Period.
