On August 17, 2007, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. Ajay K Arora from H1B1.com was a good lawyer for me. I was in KY at the time and had the luxury of choosing my own immigration lawyer. I did H1 + renewal, and RIR labor that got recently approved, but I am with a different company now, so can't use labor cert, and I have to put up with the company's law firm whose service is of course, awful.
He is located in NYC. The reason I chose him is someone else recommended him for me.

My wife came to USA on H4 visa in January 2004. Later when she got a job, she changed that to H1B in September 2004. Since we do not yet have the EAD or green card, her company is now filing the Perm labor certifcation, to make sure that she gets the 7th year extension of H1B. The rule is that you should file the labor before the 6th year starts.
My question is when does her 5th year ends. Was it on January 2009 based on her arrival in USA or is it on Sepetember 2009 sincw her H1B visa started only on Septemeber 2004?

For the marriage, do you have any evidence of the marriage happening (like you can get something from the priest). You then go to the local registrar of marriage and show him the evidence. He will register the marriage and give you an official certificate. Your relatives in your home country should help you with this procedure.
For the DOB, look for FAQ on affidavits. Every immigration website has info on this.

Hi,
I had applied for 485 without EAD/AP since we wanted to file it on July 2nd. Still waiting for the receipt. Recently our lawyer sent the EAD/AP application based on the new rule, with just the FEDEX receipt confirmation of the 485 application. However, he sent the application to CA Service Center stating that based on the new direct filing rule, it can be sent to the local Service Center.
Is that right? Anyone with similar experience or insights. As far as I know it has to be sent to the same service center where we applied for 485 (NSC).
Any document or FAQ from USCIS that can clarify this issue?

Folks,
I know this may be a little of topic but just bear with me. I am simply looking at alternatives in case the GC does not pull through. Does any one over here have any experiences living and working in the Middle east ? I just read an article about Saudi Arabia's economy dealing with record unemployment. They are in the process of taking jobs away from foreigners and giving it to the locals.
Where do we go to look for jobs in the Middle east. Any advice on this topic would be greatly appreciated. I'm praying my GC does finally pull through.

Hi
I am currently working on H1B visa. I also had an EAD which expired 2 months back & I applied for renewal of the EAD last month. I am at the risk of being laid off by my current employer & they will withdraw my H1B if that happens. Here are my queries-
(1) If I lose my H1 status & my EAD approval is still pending, what do I need to do? If I am unable to find a new H1B sponsor, will I have to leave US immediately?
(2) Will my H1 cancellation have any effect on my EAD & AP renewal petition?
(3) Can I return to US & work after my AP & EAD are approved?
(4) If my EAD approval happens before my H1B visa is revoked, can I legally stay & work in US on the basis of ONLY the EAD?
Thanks in advance for your advice!

O-3 9/2001 to 5/2006
Stepped out of the US in May 2006
The intention was to get a full 6 yr H1-B (decoupling didn't exist)
Questions while applying for H1-B to reclaim reminder of 6 yrs in H1-B
1) Can she apply for H1-B while she is in India?
2) Can she enter the country as my dependant and work on approved H1-B?

The reversal that they are talking about is the July02 bulletin that said that they will not be accepting any applications as for the bulletin that came out in June for the Month of July (where the PD's were current). Nothing to worry about. Relax and continue with your filings. :)

My wife is going to India and She has to get her H4 stamped again(I am on H1 and received my next 3 year extension and so did my wife).
My parents are also planing to visit me. Should I book my wife's appointment along with my parent's appointment , or should I book 2 different appointments one for my wife and one for both my parents.

Hello,
I am currently working for employer A on a 6th year H1 with approved 140 petition. MY current H1 is expiring June 2010. In the meantime I got an good offer from employer B who applied for H1 transfer using my approved 140 petition and I got an RFE. My question is god forbid , that if my H1 transfer petition is denied with employer B , can I continue working for Current employer A and if he can file for my H1 extension, come June? Also would there be any recursions, considering i already applied the H1 transfer now with the new employer ?
Please advice and i thank you in advance

GC is for future job, is your PERM was not suspended, you can continue with the same application.
If you're on H1-B - YES - a transfer is required to work for company A becuase you resigned and left and technically company B owns your H1-B.
