My wife renewed her license showing 485 receipt as the evidence. I think the PA DMV Manual says that if your AOS application is in progress , You can renew your license for 1 year. We did not need to show the EAD.

Hi Elaine, I have a similar issue. I work for a consulting company, the company headquarter is town A (the same with LCA location) and I have been working for client in town B since several years ago. I have asked my employer whether I need to get an H1B amendment, my employer said since town A and B belong to the same metropolitan statistics area and are within commutable distance (9 miles), there's no need to do amendment. Should I be worried with the new memo coming out?

I asked my company attoreny about this.. he said that immigration petition is I-140 and as I-140 is not filed for your wife (I-485 is already filed for my wife) so I should say No there for my wife's form.

hi, first, I'm not trolling. I have a genuine question and I'm looking for answers seriously. I got laid off in 2009 while on a h1b and then for one reason or another, stayed back for 8 months. My understanding was that I could have gotten a new job within 6 months and then switched over my h1b. I was foolish. My I-94 on the h1b approval letter however had an expiration date of October 2011. By the time 8 months had gone by, I decided it was time to give up hope and return to my country.
Since I've been here, my parents have started a campaign to get me a bride. Arranged marriages are part of my culture, and people marry based on how good a match it is according to one's birthchart. If I do find a USC who is willng too marry me, will it help me in any way immigration wise? Or will my 8 months out of status stay in USA chase me for the rest of my life?

Do we need to follow any process to convert from H1 to EAD? Or just apply for jobs using EAD?
you can apply for jobs using EAD, when you join the company on the I-9 form note that you are on EAD and provide the details there.

You are spot on. I did spoke to some folks and every body said the same thing, you cannot bring the kid in this country unless the priority date becomes current. That could be long time the way things are moving....
Hence we are stuck almost same situation as you guys are....

A month back a new company had filed a H1 transfer & I started working for them. Now I have 2 paystubs from this new company & I am getting a very good offer from another company & I would like to go for this offer. So my question is on the basis of these two recent paystubs can I get my visa transferred to the 3rd company while another visa transfer is in progress?

You can not use interfiling across categories. You can only use interfiling between few EB categories. You are better off moving to family based quota, all you need to prove is she is your sister. Good luck.

Look at the top table which shows data released by DOS. Last month 75 application have been reduced and in month back 100 applications were reduced.
This is really really bad sign for EB3 and even for EB2.
