You can give your OPT A# but once you're assigned a permanent visa number, they'll give you a different number. Your OPT A# is just a temporary number.

A number series starting with 1 (eg. for OPT) are temporary. Those starting with 9 are permanent.

We�re willing to print that there is a 60% chance that either CIR or Bridge legislation is passed and signed by the President by August 1. Whenever a bill is passed it will likley take an additional 30-60 days before the first visas are issued.
Does anyone remember/know what HLG was willing to print about the CIR's chances last time over (in 2006)?

We are planning to go to India in the last week of September. My current AP expires by Oct 10. Hence applying for a new one. How long are AP approvals taking now a days at TSC.

Please dont gets your hopes too high. I am not saying this out of scepticism but out of the depression and pain I experienced on july 2 when the evil uscis said they will reject all 485 applications.
I understand the good natured thought behind IV stating this possibility of "good news", but they should have held off on the announcement until it was confirmed. So many people are unnecessarily getting excited. god forbid if this news fails tommorow I can only imagine the pain the people would experience.

Just food for thought. At this time there are 28600 EB1 visas. Most in the EB1 category are current or pretty close to it.
As a matter of fact, EB-1 annual limit = 28.6% of 140K = 40,040 and it has been current for a while.

One thing I would like to know on those lines assume yours is true that cases do not go to officers unless PD current. So how does it work. Lets say today PD is 2003. Tomorrows VB PD becomes 04. So assume 2 cases one with RD apr 07 and one with may 07 both with same PD 04. Would april case go to him? What if during one month period VB rolls back. If hes not done would he keep case back?

Ah, that's more like it. Taken with a 600mm f/4, 1.4x extender, and 12mm extension tube. A little more magnification, and less light... You can focus closer, but you can't focus at infinity anymore.

How long has it been that you filed for I-140 ? Has it been approved yet.
I think you can move on to another company only after the I-140 has been approved and it has been more than 180 days . USCIS mails the approval notice to the company/attonery who filed on your behalf.

By law how many days one is required to stay with sponsor after GC approval in EB2? What documents we will need to prove to USCIS at Citizenship interview to prove that we stayed with sponsor for "required" time.

Employment based GC is for permanent employment with the sponsoring employer. I don't know if law gives a lesser period of time of association. But in practice, i have seen many people quoting '6 months' of minimum stay. Some attorneys quote 2 years stay.

That's true for my case. My labor certification was denied once due to the naive aknowledge of my para-legal attorney. It caused my LC was delay 1 year then I was stuck by Retrogression. Again at filing I-485, if I have not carefully studied the immi laws and reviewed my case, my attorney might mess it up. Many times I found my non-professional, clumsy knowledge on Immi laws is even better than my para-legal attorney

You don't need any document to invoke AC21, if you are on H1b, do the H1b transfer based on I-485 receipt and if you are using EAD, just go and join other company.
You will receive RFE, at that time you need to show that you have paystub,experience letter etc and you have used AC21(180 days pending).

Yeah I think it makes sense to fill I9 form because that way you make it clear that your intent moving forward is to be on AOS rather than H1. In case you dont do it then you are on dual status with H1 being primary status so in that case it is open to wide interpretation of CIS officers to classify it as out of status or in status.
