A good friend of mine is getting divorced with her husband. The husband is the primary employment based green card applicant and their dates are current.
Will her I-485 be denied after the divorce?
The husband is willing to wait till the green card is approved before the divorce.
If she gets her green card, will it be revoked after the divorce?
Will her I-485 be denied after the divorce?
Yes.
If she gets her green card, will it be revoked after the divorce?
Not likely unless there is collusion or fraud involved.

Could someone share their recent experience regarding how long the DOL is taking to respond to Prevailing Wage requests for PERM labor certification? Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. What I understand even there is no position for EB2 currently, EB2 can be filed for future employment.
Do you know anybody who was in the same situation and converted from EB3 to EB2.
Thanks,

It'd be great to get some more IVians to express their opinions/ideas and vote on this thread:
http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/showthread.php?p=205773#post205773
The idea being bounced around is whether IV should be made an organization funded by membership dues, and benefits provided to members only.
The benefits:
- Logistics: Members identified/verified, not anonymous
- Communication: Improved one-to-one communication rather than hunting for information in forums. Perhaps even a newsletter updating you on what's going on, what's being planned, what are the activities.. and action items.
- Funding: Sustainable funding for lobbying efforts, media relations, etc.
- Live Nag-Free! No one asks you what you've contributed in every second post, you don't have to wear the ID tag of your contribution amount around your neck to prevent such questions
- Community: Be part of a community with a national presence, with local chapters.
- Legal advice: Get free legal advice in monthly/quarterly/periodic conf calls/webinars
- Jobs: Job postings or referrals on IV members-only site
- Business opportunities: Come together with other IV members to explore common business opportunities
- Myriad other benefits that memberships in professional organizations come with, such as travel discounts for instance.
The down-side:
- We may lose about half of our "members"
- Others???
Voice your opinions, share your ideas, and vote FOR or AGAINST this proposal here... :

Hello - I found this article (http://www.kirupa.com/blend_wpf/create_text_to_speech_pg5.htm)very helpful, but am having problems when I publish it on the web server (Windows 2003 IIS) - I get the same message - i.e. The type or namespace name 'SpeechSynthesizer' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?) on the server in the Event Viewer. Is there special configuration or files required on the server before you can publish the speech to text files? Any help would be appreciated.

Dear All:
I know there are numerous people who are on H4 visa here in the USA and struggling to get out of home and work. All tied up in 4 walls only coz H4 visa holders do not have the authorization to work.
Come on guys, when L2 dependant visa holders can get an EAD and permit to work then why cant H4 dependants get the same privilege ? Is this not a discrimination? Are we not being deprived of the rights that we should be getting? Are we doing justice to our careers? Arent 90% of H4 visa holders doctors, engineers, lawyers, MBAs?? Are we not ruining our careers ? Are we not loosing our self esteem and independence ? are we not highly qualified and skilled to take up challenging jobs in the US ?
We all know what it is with the H1B visa. In such a scenario how can we even expect some professional life for ourselves. But are the law makers aware of this situation of ours ? Laws are amended only when they are put forward and witnessed as a problem and issue of concern. Does the US government know about this ? Does US know that it has immense store house of talent in the form of H4 visa holders ?
It has to change. H4s should get some kinda reform else we will ruin our careers and life. If you are on the similar line then come forward and join us, in our change!!
Let your voice be heard!! Let H4s get their independence.
Plz do the foll:
1) Visit the website www.change.org
2) Type in Improve the conditions of H4 dependant visa individuals in the US
3) Register yourself and become a member Its FREE !!!
4) Invite all your friends, relatives to join in
5) Post your thoughts, take actions, read the on going progress by members.
Together we can. So lets join hands and help ourselves.
Regards,
MAYA.
