All,
With the current rate of outsourcing happening around in US and the rate of influx of temporary workers coming in on mostly L1 and may be few on H1 B Visas every year through the outsourcing companies , i am sceptical about the future of GC aspirants. With the way of GC processing happening which are caused by restrictions /policies of governing bodies and no sight of positive relief in near future i am little apprehensive about the future.
I feel that there might be no areas that are not impacted by Outsourcing boom . Most of the companies that i see and my friends work ,i see many of the operations are outsourced or planning in place to get outsourced.
with the current rate of outsourcing and subprime mess which may cause slow down in economy , i am not sure if there would be any positions to support our AOS , when our PD becomes current. Some times i think , the fight for GC is even worth it.
Every one feel free to post your views/opinions/Analysis on this topic ....

I am planning to send a letter to Ombudsman DHS-7001.
Not sure if there will be any response. Even if there is one, they are going to say that my dates are outside the processing times.
Receipt date: July 9th, 2007
Priority Date: July 19, 2001. EB3. India.
What reason can I write for "Description of your case problem"?
Can I just mention that I am about to incur significant and unusual costs because of this delay?...

Description of problem has to be something suggesting that they are not following their own rules. Mentioning about significant costs etc is not going to fly as that applies to everybody. If Ombudsman believes that your problem is genuine, they send case to the processing center for an answer within 45 days.
Processing Centers claim that they process cases in order they receive. obama has to worry about 2012 re-election. The mandate of the public is clear. They don't like his leftist policies. Even when the economy is doing good, chance of CIR is bad, so god only knows if he will even attempt. Congress is going to be deadlocked for 2 more years. Which is not to say nothing is possible. If the house passes something, Dems still have the senate. Obama may not have enough clout amongst the Democrats who are centered and struggled to hold their seats. Harry Reid also got a big scare, but atleast there are enough hispanics in his constituency to make him think of working on CIR again.

I dont believe Indian govt can help in this...Lets first gather people and we will let you know the next course of action. There are bunch of people in Face book who got struck up in visa delays. I am trying to reach out to them. Its big group...try to get them here. Please contact those people...

I am in a similar situation and have a very simple question. Can I port from EB3 to EB2, while on EAD? I do not have a valid H1. AFAIK porting needs re-filing a labor application, hence the confusion.

I therefore respectfully request that your office should adjudicate my client�s I-485 accordingly under AC21 provisions. Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
I have attached the following requisite documentation including:

I believe Mbhai did a dis-service by negating good advice. What is the guarantee that the 2nd women that this guy marries will not ask for divorce? The best thing he can do is find a way to reconcile, unless there is marital infidility.

I and my wife applied for I485(EB3) in July 2007. We both have got our EADs, but not used it.
My H1 is valid till May 2009. I have I140 approved and have got my H1(3 years) till May 2009.
My wife has her own H1b valid till Dec 2008.
We are planning to get divorced. i have applied for Divorce in India in this month (may 2008).
Is there a way I can cancel my 485 application. Because If i get my green card it will be difficult for me to marry girl from India.
My wife has mentioned that she will be applying for Divorce in USA.

Here comes one more preacher. Most people on this forum are no saint, they not even a man (or woman) enough to stand up for themselves.
Please don't comment about anybody's else abilities without knowing him/her. You don't know me or what I have done. Then how can you comment that "not every man enough to stand up for themselves."

After a few months Raleigh News and Observer reporter Karen Reeves contacted Mr. Murali for a story on EB immigration problems and he directed this reporter to me through IAFPE. And then I directed Karen to IV.
More than one year passed after this event and I changed employer. I was not sure about the letter that I had written to USCIS about employer change and I called Murali's office and got his appointment.
This was after the fact of changing employers. Murali went through the documents and told me not to worry and I most probably would recieve an RFE. That I did. He did not charge me a penny.
Then in last one year I really went through trauma of two RFEs and complete insensitivity and arrogance of my company's lawyer. I wrote e-mail to Murali three times in last one year and everytime he got back to me in one business day. All this at no charge at all.
I owe Murali a lot for his moral support and legal advice to me from time to time.

Send letter to WH & IV. I have forwarded the IV message to many of my friends.
I forwarded the IV message to my company HR person and requested it to be cascaded to all the individuals in our company. He has agreed to forward. I hope we get additional letters sent out to WH.

I have been US loong enough, to count on False promises. All these indian newspapers dont know what they are publishing, particularly abt things happening in US. Till i see an official announcement from any of the US Government Website i am not counting on this.
Anyways, if they can pay me back my Social Security money it would be simply great.
