Hi,
My wife and I are currently working on EAD and have used the AP to entry the US. We will be going to the Canadian consulate to apply for Canadian Visa (want to go on vacation). I had the following questions:-
1) What all papers are required?
2) How long will they issue the canadian visa for? I am planning on obtaining a multiple entry visa. When I was on H1 they issued me a visa which was till the end of my H1 expiration date.

Not sure about the rules now, but when I did it in 2002, it was a single entry visa for 6 months - though it is single entry - going from US is an exception - from US it is multiple entry and it costed $50 during those times.

Hi, your experience with visa rules will help me make a better decision. Here's my situation,
H1b visa on passport expired on Apr/2009. Have approval until Apr/2010. Applied for 3 year extn in Nov/2009 under PP.
An RFE is raised against the H1b extn (which was applied in Nov/2009). I have vacation planned starting 14Dec/2009; with just 3-4 months left on approved H1b papers, is it advisable to travel to India and do the stamping in HYD? Or am I risking my return to US?

A good attorney would never recommend job description in such micro terms. What does your labor certification say ? Match it as much to that one. CIS is not concerned about that level of micro detail (servlets or XML). The description should be a a level that can be easily understood by an adjudicator.

At this time there is no certainity.At the rate in which dates are moving in EB2 India (1 month move in a year) your PD will be current after 10 years. You may not even consider coming here then.
More realistic is the situation when illegal will get amnesty and legals may be put ahead of line.
Also the window may be as little as 30 days like in July 2007 as long as anytime (say someone with PD 2003 in EB2 --any time in the future)

Agreed, but look at last week's two leading finalist shots. Basically a couple of good family snapshots: the kid getting wet and a guy with a hose. Confuses me as to what's considered good "competition" photography.

I don't think there are any adverse effects of updating them with correct address, I applied for 485 in July moved end of august and updated my address with them, All my Receipts and EAD and biometric were returned to them and they resent them to new address with a thank yo note for updating address.

The upside-down "V" shaped branches in the upper left corner are distracting, but could probably be cloned out with a bit of work in PS. The bright leaves in the upper right corner are also distracting, but a bit of burning in could probably make them stand out less. The water is blown out down at the bottom, but that's easy to excuse if you're using a P&S where you don't have much control over the exposure - or even a way to reliably gauge it until the image is on your computer monitor. Overall, the image has potential, and it shouldn't be too hard to fix most of the little issues I see with a bit of time in Photoshop. :)

They should file form I-130 for you immediately and once your priority date becomes current, you could file 485. You need to maintain status until you file 485. You should not wait until they become U.S. Citizens. You should lock your priority date and it will carry over even if they are U.S. Citizens. Family immigration is on a much faster track now.Take a look at past few visa bulletins to see.

I have been waiting for the hard copy..so my Hr called Dol and asked whether they have mailed. The Dol officer sent the Cover letter by email (first page of whole approved package) to company HR showing the certification . She also told HR that cover letter was enough for I140 filing.
Is it true? Please let me know.

Post MBA (since Jun'06), I am working with a new employer. My previous employer (bachelor degree), filed for my labor in Nov'04 and I left this company in Jun'06; howevr employer didn't withdrew my labor application. My labor with previous employer was approved in Feb'07. I have good relation with my previous employer and they are ready to file my I-140; I have few questions regarding this:
Can my previous employer file I-140, even if I am not working with them?
If I-140 is approved, would I able to transfer the PD to my new employer, when he initiates my labor application.
Once I transfer my PD, can my previous employer use this approved LC for other candidate?
Based on my new qualifications (MBA), my job description has changed totally compared to my previous job.
