I claimed my parents as dependents. You only need ITIN and have to do paper filing first time....
I also have notarized passport, etc, but one of the tax consultants told me that the ITIN cannot be filed now, and when I file my 2008 returns in 2009, I need to apply for the ITIN along with the taxreturn and paperfile. Has anybody else applied ITIN before filing tax return ?

Hello Gurus,
Soon after we filed our I-485 in July 07 we went to India as my mother was not feeling well. When my wife and I were in India we got Finger print appointment notices, which we postponed around 8 times. In May 08 we came to US specially to give our finger prints and we did. Few weeks after we gave our Finger prints, My wife went to India to take care of my mom.
Yesterday, we AGAIN got Finger print appointment notices. It does not say if USCIS was unable to read our finger prints or anything, It is a regular FP notices.
Since I am here in the US, I do not mind giving FP's again, but my wife is in India and she cannot give FP now. Another thing is we applied for H1 extension, She cannot come until I get my H1 and she get's it stamped. We do not have AP to travel.
The day we gave our FP's, USCIS has put stamps on our FP appointment notices with the details. I have these notices with me. Are these of any help ???

My EB2 labor was filled (different company) as Software Engineer (Level III)
When you say Level III, are you referring the to the Wage level? My EB3 was under 15-1031.00. Now with the same company, If I have to do EB2, can it be in the same category? The only other relevant category I see is:
15-1032.00 - Computer Software Engineers, Systems Software
Also, my understanding is that when you do the prevailing wage determination, the MS+1 will be lesser than MS+1 or BS+5, but both of them qualify for EB2. Thoughts anyone?

First of all. there is no talk about re-capture bill anywhere along with the Dream ACt they does not even mentioned on the revised Dream ACT, so only way is persuade Senators/Congressmen and The President, and join along with IV in the campaigns. That is the maximum each one can do.

WD is right that this is a model for groups with specific issues within iv. it is not possible for iv leaders to maintain focus on every issue in the realm of this warped system. as an organization it is only appropriate for iv to focus on the big overarching goal of ending retrogression to benefit all.
however specific groups do have a way to take initiative for their issues within the iv framework. it is necessary though to find leaders, take initiative and build your own momentum with continuous efforts.
iv-physicians is a model for this and it's hopefully continued and eventual success will inspire others.

My PERM application requires experience as a 'systems analyst' in XYZ technology and i have experience/affidavit letters reflecting progressive experience in XYZ technology from last 7 years with minor difference in wording of job duties.
We are seeking EB2 classification based on "five years of progressively responsible experience", i also have certifications in XYZ technology from last 3 to 4 years (not before starting work in XYZ technology) but i'm not sure if including these will help/complicate the case.. Could you please advise..Also, please give any additional points to take care while filing 140 with EB2 classification based on "five years of progressively responsible experience".

My I-140 receipt date is Feb'20 2008..

The change of status from H4 to H1 is usually effective from OCT 1..so the H4 visa is no longer valid..
