    Based on current stats,

    LC - It will take about 4 months from the date you initiate your case with your lawyer
    140- Eb2 or eb 3 will take from 4 weeks to 4 months
    485 - If u are from India or China and based on current situation for Eb2 it could take upto 4 years and 6-7 years for EB3. If you are from Rest of the world it would be 1-2 years.

    However, if the SKIL bill passes, things could change and you could get the whole GC within 2 years or so.........Keep hopeful...that is what I am doing after 8 years on H1........with a MBA from a US University!!

    I am in a similar position and have decided to go back to school in USA. My PD is Jan 2004 EB2, and I am sure I am not going to hit the jackpot before Sep 07. Is there any possible way I can save my GC?

    Received Date : May 20th
    Notice Date : June 1st
    1st SLUD : June 2nd
    2nd SLUD : June 9th
    3rd SLUD : June 10th
    4th SLUD : June 11th

    No activity since last SLUD… My EAD expires in August. Has anyone noticed similar SLUD pattern on their case lately?

    I would really appreciate if CSC/WAC applicants post their case status updates.

    any idea on an INSEAD's MBA value when returning to the US to work? I know it holds in good stand in Europe and Asia...

    Well, definitely do not pay anything voluntarily. Wait for them to start legal action. If they don't, you are free. If they do, consult with an attorney and you can always settle outside of court. Non-compete clauses are difficult to enforce, but it is a possibility. It depends on the contract you signed with A.

    After a long 5 years I finally received 485 case approved letter for both my case and my spouse's case. However the online status still shows pending. Is this common?. How long would it take for the online case status to be updated.

    needs to be added.

    Assuming Salil Pradhan is in the EB-2 Category (Alien with Exceptional Ability
    or Advanced degree), if he was born in Mexico he could apply for his I-485, also called adjustment of status, right away.

    Just because he was born in India he is being subjected to this backlog

    This rep is pretty much saying what i said in my previous posting. But don't rely too much on what any rep says....call again and u will get a different unrelated reasoning that will confuse the hell out of u....:)

    It's a sad state of affairs.

    My husband's case was transferred from CSC to TSC. We haven't received the FP notice yet. USCIS status "The I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS was transferred and is now pending standard processing at a USCIS office". when we called customer service cust service rep informed that we need to wait 180 days after the transfer for FP

    Thank you very much for clarifying that for me,ok so first thing is to find a reputable immigration attorney close to me in Texas City.

    Make sure you speak with an attorney who files a lot of marriage-based cases.
