Hi!
I was wondering if you guys know any link on Dept on labor (or uscis.gov) that says that employer is responsible for all the legal(lawyer) fees. I work for a government firm and they only pay H1b fees that they are supposed to pay to USCIS. At the same time, they force me to hire a lawyer (I cannot file it myself) and they want me to pay for the lawyer.
I was wondering if you know of any law that I can show them and ask them to pay for the same.

Well I managed to reschedule my travel so now will be able to get my FP done.
Other than AP, EAD, Passport, I-797 and ofcourse the FP notice, is any other document that I need to take?

a) A copy of all approval notices received from the USCIS
b) A copy of all I-94 cards (received upon entry into the U.S.); I-20's (issued if you were ever in F-1 status in the U.S.); IAAP's (issued if you were ever in J-1 status in the U.S.)
c) A copy of every page of the passport
d) A copy of your marriage certificate
e) A copy of the divorce decree from any previous marriages of yourself or your spouse

Adjustment of status applicants also have the option of filing for an Employment Authorization Document (EAD) either at the time of filing the I-485 or anytime after obtaining the I-485 Receipt Notice. In essence, the applicant needs either the H or L nonimmigrant status or the Employment Authorization Document but does not need both. However, an adjustment applicant with a valid nonimmigrant status may want to obtain an Employment Authorization Document to allow him to work an additional job.

If his fiance is in the US, then it's easy. Just do a court marriage; get the marriage certificate and file for I485.
If his fiance is abroad then he can make a trip; get married and take her back to US and file. Remember, all the applicants need to be present in the US to file AoS.
If she does not have a visa to come to the US; then just wait...
I dont think it makes sense to file now; get married and re-file again. It's also risky just to some extent if his application is approved before ge get married.
Also, just a friendly suggeston:
Ask him to join IV :)

Unfortunately my EB2 I140 does not have the EB3 priority date assigned as my attorney did not seek that when applying. Now He is trying to get the EB2 I140 amended with the EB3 priority date. TSC keep rejecting it without giving any reason.

Options are only valuable if they are more than the exercisable price, if not the paper is worth nothing.
Why do you want to buy the options at that price? Can't you just buy it from the open market and that way option will exxpire and there will be that many less open shares.

Can I apply for H1 B extension on my own or does it have to go through an immigrtion attorney?
I will be applying for 7th yr H1 based on an ongoing GC process. I 140 approved . I 485 pending.
Is this process any different from normal H1B application ( the first 6 years)
