Really need urgent help on this. These folks are asking me to sign a 1 year contract with them. Wanted to ask if anybody has any experience with this company.
Do they really sue if we break the contract?. Is it legal in the US to have a binding contract to begin with?. Please let me know. I need to make a decision in a few days as I am packing my bags from Texas and flying to Santa Clara to attend their courses...

All this is con artistry about charging for "training". They post ads saying we have urgent business requirements for 5 Analysts but you have to attend our course....once u attend the course, on the very last at 5pm, you'll be given a sheet of paper to sign a contract, which means u have to stick with them whether u get a project or not.
Modus Operandi - If u get a project, they make money............if u don't get a proj, they are not affected since they don't pay on bench...........if u get a proj with another compnay and leave, they sue u and show u ur contract and make money.
Win win for the desi consultant, tough life for you buddy. Make an informed decision. Everyone knows how these ppl operate and still get stuck with them.
I don't want you posting in this same forum 5 months from now that I have been sued or been threatened to be sued and can I shift employers etc as I don't have a project.

according to a recent news item, the house speaker needs the support of at least 70 republicans to even consider a vote:
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., has told the White House she could not pass a bill with Democratic votes alone, nor would she seek to enforce party discipline on the issue.
Bush would have to produce at least 70 Republican votes before she would consider a vote on comprehensive immigration legislation. Garnering such support might be very difficult for a president saddled with low approval ratings.

C'mon guys, what the hell have you been doing for so long?
I mean look at the archived Visa Bulletins, you observe the following:
1. EB2 was current for India ALL THROUGH 2003
2. EB2 was current for India ALL THROUGH 2004
3. EB2 was current for India till August 2005
4. After the retrogression in 2005, EB2 India moved up quickly through 2003-2004 to April 2004 by the beginning of 2007
5. Even after the summer 2007 fiasco (EB2 Current fro July, August 2007), the priority date for EB2 India moved to April 2004 and stayed there for 3 months
What more do you wish for?

And when finaly most 2003 filed in July 2007 and had dates current for next 3 months.. The Processing was taking atleast 6 months...
I seriosly hope that not may atleast with 2003 PD.. and dates should move to 2004 and beyong soon.. and this is practically possible...

I have asked to Vin13 if he/she can get source of information from Ron. If you have good contact with him can you ask for source of info ? Any link to USED vs waste number. Or even any link that made definition of USED visas and waste visas and their number for last year ? I am serious to get this fix this time , if I get a link to some document that clarify. I was the first person in the QnA - disappointed at the intent of this meeting - they really care about illegal immigration - not once legal immigrants were discussed. It was a farce and IV was just used as an organization to show support to him - very disappointed.:mad:

I was at the meeting and I was really taken aback by your question, it was totally out of context, I think I understand your position which is 'You wanted GC - you are not getting it - you decide to go back - but before that you decide to attend school - but cant get F1 coz you extablizhed Intent to Immigrate' -- This is a unique situation... atleast not something the larger IV community is affected by, but the accusing tone of your question to the Rep. was uncalled for .. I dont even know what you expected out of this meeting for your situation .. just try to get some perspective and place things incontext.. and again numbers matter.. if there were thousands of ppl in your situation your problem would have been addressed... anyways.. I beg to differ on your opinion about it being a farce.. There is effort being put to address the issues and IV has to maintain presence and make sure our issues are out there and are being noticed and not forgotten.. and thats what precisely happened yesterday.. IV members who are affected by Retrogression made their presence felt, the Core members were present on the dias rubbing shoulders with Congressman Gutierrez and representing the retrogressed community.

Some entities may be working in the background for our cause and can not go public about their activities... You would say how do you know? For that you will have to learn the art of "Reading between the lines" .. And if you can not do that please shut your mouths. Everybody is playing their parts fairly.
