Hi All -
My post has no relevance to this thread and my apologies for that.
I have been trying to find the latest CIR thread by Pappu (where he talks about it being introduced) from last week (or the week before ?!) but was unable to locate it.
Could someone please point me to that ? No matter how bleak the chances are for it's passing, I would still like to follow it since it's our only hope at this moment.

Do you know the story of the crow getting to the water by putting pebbles into the jug which had very little water?
Well, here we are: the water is IV's target...the pebbles are the contributions ($200, great, but $20, still good!!) from a large number of members. It's impossible to justify why one can not contribute $200 when the core members and some others like you & anurakt have given so much more. I believe it is equally important to encourage as many members to contribute as much they can.
No contribution is too small if it is actually made. An ounce of action is better than a pound of intention!
The weekness in this analogy is the absence of a time limit on the crow. If the crow will die by a certain time, then the crow better start putting bigger pebbles.
It will take 10 months to pay $200 if you pay $20/month. Legislation may start coming up in Feb. Money is needed to get the issue on the table and NOT when the issue is on the table. That time is right now.

Still I am kind of tense about my degree is considered as US equivalent degree. It accepted in H1-B, and EB-3 GC process. I am cross my figures until I get the decision from IO. I will give more updates later.

Frankly, the chances of getting an EB-2 I-140 approved with your educational background are very bleak to say the least. However, there are always exceptions and I hope you get lucky. Good luck, atleast your employer tried.

two reasons
one, to vote, exercise a democratic principle, you can't complain about the government unless you actively participated.
two, I have 3 kids, and it's likely they'll stay here, my 12 year olds were 3 when we first arrived. My lawyer highly recommended we consider citizenship after another client had challenges. Despite good parenting this guy's kids got into trouble with the law, to the extent that they had their green cards revoked and they were in deportation process. However had they been US citizens whilst there were consequences they wouldn't have their citizenship revoked.
Not great reasons for some...
Q 1: What if one's native country is also a democracy?
Q 2: If one is already a citizen of democratic country other than US and same scenario will happen then one's kids will not have revoked citizenship (That other country's) as well if one decides to maintain his/her original citizenship ...

if you can have a normal conversation = you are not working as much
if you can talk intermittently = you are challenging your body enough
if you cannot talk at all = you are working too much and this does not help either (unfortunately this is the category I fall into a lot of times :D)
For the starters ...walk at your normal pace..remember you are starting to condition your body towards walking 3 miles by a certain time frame. it is ok if you can only get to 1 mile instead of 3. it is going to be a journey.

Very few will come here if you mention about contributions in the title.
Well, if not that, at least make it obvious that it comes from the right source. I misunderstood this thread as somebody making malicious attack at the core group and disregarded it (though it has been started by a core member). It would help if we can understand who started the post (Like we can do, when we check the india-forums for the TV shows), so that people understand the importance (This may seem as nitpicking but it does make a difference because we dont read everything).
On a second note, even after giving the correct email, i have not received a email from IV like some others have mentioned, after the introductory email after joining in the first time (It would have made me do the pledge earlier if I had gotten the email considering that many of us are infrequent loggers and have a busy travelling schedule).
Just a thought.

eastindia, you are correct. GCPerm sometime back was on a "flower campaign" mode and was asking all IV members to send flowers so that USCIS will approve his/her green card ASAP. now that, it has been approved, the user has switched to a citizenship campaign mode.
GCPerm, a piece of advice. When a person volunteers for a cause to help others, the person should never think of how the result benefits them. If you look at IV members who are advocating for clearing this green card backlogs, by volunteering for the cause, they are not looking at how it benefits them, but how they can pave a way for future applicants.
When it comes to citizenship it is more difficult as I have personally seen people who are willing to continue with green cards for more than 20 years than taking up US Citizenship because they are more emotionally connected to their birth countries.
Anyway, note if you are sure of the fact that you want this campaign to continue even after six years of you starting it(by then you can become a US Citizen), then you should be promoting this.
Example, Aman Kapoor who started IV, got his green card and still fighting to clear the green card backlog mess.
Hope you understand the point. Nobody wants a leader who won't be able to continue once their ulterior motives are attained.
Guys let it be selfishness... but ultimately if we win, it is a win for every one... I am living in this country for more than 11 years but still with an EAD status.... We are spending most of our life time as an ALIEN. Think yourself which is better...

I don't have clear picture on what IV is planning to do now except that FOIA drive. I request the core team to inform all IV members explicitly about their plan. I guess there will be more donations than they expect.
suggestion: while sending emails that there is a reply to your post, they should also add the actions they have been/ or planning to take.

Biometrics done July 2nd 2008
EAD Card Production August 13th 2008
I also applied for AP at the time applying for EAD. AP got approved on 7th August. It was an E-file for me and my wife. I hope this helps for those who are waiting for EAD/AP impatiently. I haven�t got the actual cards so do not know whether this is 1 yr or 2 yr, My PD is in Dec 2006.

While I agree with most of what you have said, some of this anxiety will be removed or minimized if USCIS has a published or documented way of going through with these approvals (like PD,RD,ND etc)instead of randomly choosing a case.

How long does it take for a decision under EB2? I know the usual is 90 days but from your experiances is there a chance of an approval earlier?

maybe it is because of the Easter holiday and the long weekend. that can be a reason or maybe it will pick up at the beg of April. I am not sure what s the reason, but we are all worried
Looks like approvals has slowed down further.
This is why at the end of the year there are unused visas. All due to inefficiencies of USCIS.
We are doomed.

I called and enquired abt my case. I told I was beyond normal processing time. They gave me some service request no... and told me I will receive an email within 30 days. What does this mean!
This means that if your receive date at the center (which is close ND) is not before the published processing date, they don't want to entertain your complaint. Note that published dates is, up to which they believe they have handled all cases. It does not mean they have not handled, or are not allowed to handle, any case received after the published processing dates. But they don't want to entertain any enquiries on those cases. SR simply means a standard reply within 30 days, if your date is actually outside the published dates.
