UN probably didn't realize that the officer id. was different. The id. being different is a good thing, it makes the likelihood of the IO not having noticed the old NOID higher.

In my opinion you are doing the right thing by reporting against your employer to DOL. DOL take their own time. But I have known a case where the employer had to shut-shop coz of complaints from former employees.
As some others have mentioned, look out for transfers with consular processing and get back here.

USCIS is not dumb...They have interpreted the law in the way they think is appropriate....They are applying the over all 7% country cap to China/India EB2 and sending the overflow to EB3 ROW..... It is not fair but it is not exactly illegal...The law is open to interpretation and USCIS has chose to select this interpretation......You can take a crack at suing the USCIS.....I doubt that you would get anywhere......The EB2 India/China might benefit from the lawsuit....But as you know not all members would agree on IV spending resources on this lawsuit because this serves only a small section of member population.... At a personal level you can gather a few EB2 China India guys and have a crack at suing USCIS....
It says "not required by other classes". In this case it is required but could not be applied to EB2 due to per country numerical limits. Therefore it should go to unused pool of visas followed by AC21. Also why will USCIS prefer EB3 instead of EB2 people? It does not make sense.
As far as suing the govt is concerned we all know what happened to doctors in the UK.. so this is will be a futile exercise.

From the article it seems Tancredo gives wrong information about H1b. Generally CNN is not responsible for any other person is giving wrong information in the interviews unless CNN accepts the information. Daily they are interviewing many people including Politicians and there is lot of chance for wrong information. Many persons gave wrong information about Iraq in CNN but CNN could not be responsible for that. If Lou Dobbs gives/accepts wrong information then we can complain about him in CNN. So if action needs to be taken we need to protest Tancredo for his comments.

I have talked to IMG sales rep, he said they won't cover for pre existing conditions. He also said that as far as his knowledge is concerned there is no company out there that covers pre existing conditions when I asked him about it.
My final assumption is that any insurance we buy anywhere, just covers illnesses that are developed after the coverage starts.

Very true. Also members should stay away from promoting one presidential candidate versus other. How does it help our cause? This has nothing to do with free speech. There are so many other websites for such discussions.
Though I agree wholeheartedly that this is not a platform for supporting any of the candidates in the Nov election, but given that more than 90% of the people who frequent this forum are not even citizens of the country and cannot vote... Even if I get hugely motivated towards any of the 2 candidates, by reading the motivational messages from other fellow posters, what can I really do ?

If your parents have bad health, then its a risky trip anyways .. but if they are in a reasonable health, then most insurance plans (except the super cheap ones) should be fine to cover any emergencies .... I have used k v rao insurance couple of times (but never had to make a claim) ...
There are always bad stories about claim process, but that is just the nature of Insurance industry (had such experiences with my employer insurance as well ... despite it being a Fortune100 company with generous benefits)... so choose your poison! :)

How do you know what I care about and not? I can give some famous examples of GC holders working for IV - Aman Kapoor founder member, Tamsen Mitchell (franklin) leader of South California chapter, and many more.
I may remain active if I feel the cause is worth spending my time, money and effort. Right now, a crowd of 25,000 tracking receipts and discussing mundane issues doesn't give me the confidence to say so. I have better things in life to fight for than a lost cause where the victims (most of them) wait for others to fight for them !

Total Number of Cases: over 300,000
Processing status by the Two Backlog Elimination Centers:
Total 100% Dallas (152,000+) Phily (169,000+)
Pending 33% 33% 36%
Completed 67% (1) Certified 33% 33%

Exactly same thing is going on with me, getting a soft LUD almost every day! (to be precise three times since they received my RFE response). Not sure what's going on?
Ok here is my experience,
had a hard LUD and received RFE for 325A and birth certificates,
Replied to RFE - USCIS received the mail on the 8th, same day in the evening, received a hard LUD saying, RFE response received and is under process.
Till today, I have been seeing soft LUD on our case, I dont know what is going on !!!

I actually admire indian graduates of different streams who are able to transfer to computer science so easily.Maybe it is education in basic sciences and Maths earlier.
Sure, there are not Nobel prize winners within our community, but generally, some how, people are able to deliver what is expected of them.If consultants are not of high quality,Hiring companies fire them easily.As it is,there is strong anti H1-B propanganda going on,so if anything we discuss here,can be picked up external groups.

I guess it was my employers discretion to make me sit home with him just not responding to my mails, i couldn't barge in to his office and say hey give me desk to work on? can i ?
Anyways looking at the LCA agreement i think you don't seem to know what you are talking about, I am here holding his company's name on my H1B form , His agreement on LCA and his employment letter, i dunno if there is any other way i could make inroads into barging into his office?
Now if he puts a security guard against me entering his office, shouldn't i report this to DOL too?

Getting emotional is not going to help you. Your case is not going to impact your employer until he is doing this as a pattern. The only other option is, if you can get another job apply for a transfer and the approval without I-94. Then you will have to go out of the country and come back.
Your first priority should be to get the job and fix your visa issues. Then find other employees working for this employer and if they are in similar situation like you. If so, you have a very strong case and complaint to DOL. May be you should use this as a leverage to get the pay stub and do transfer. Really speaking pay stub is not an issue as long as you are able to get a job.
You need to relax and think what do you want to do and whats your goal...do you want to put your life back on track or go after this guy. You can teach him a lesson but how it’s going to help improving your situation. Because of the current environment, no one needs to file any complaint and every application from any company is thoroughly scrutinized by the USCIS. Worst case he will shut the shop and open another one. All he needs is a $300 to register a company. USCIS is not going to deport him as he might be already on GC or USC. But there is every possibility for ICE to knock on your door. You are just shooting yourself in the foot. Good luck.
