If possible taken an infopass appt. They might be able to tell you the correct status of your appln.
BTW: Does any one know how long does it take for a decision to be made on an application once it has been pre-adjudicated and assiged to an IO?:confused:

I do not know what screen they are looking and how they are pulling info. What is the point of puting CSR if they have half baked info or worse no info on where the case is.

As far as the fund drive is concerned I disagree that without the VB we would have not reached our goal We over 22.5K in 6 days. The VB provided a push but I am sure we could have collected the remaining 7.5K in 24 days.
Do you think the drive would have reached its original goal yesterday/early today without the January visa bulletin retrogressing us even further...?
I have my doubts about that... :)
And how far in the past would we need to retrogress to get another funding drive done...?

Have the contributions increased at all? Have seen the Fig of approx 80-81 K for a while now.
And do not think that IV is sitting on that 80-81k kitty.
There are bills being paid out of that collected money. The biggest bill, I think, would be QGA.
Hence to keep the momentum, we have to have more contributions coming in.
One surest way to keep the stream flowing is to get more members.
If we think that we represent 350-400 K people stuch in GC process, we need to find and reach them, make them aware of what IV is doing and encourage them to join and contribute the time, efforts and money.

not sure how to do this. can some one in this thread create a poll just for eb3-India just to see a ball park number of people waiting in eb3 india and for how long they are waiting (may be we can start from jan 2001 all the way till jun 2008). This atleast would give us an idea of how many IVers are waiting in eb3 queue..pls discard if you did not like this idea. thanks.

- Talk to the leaders of this campaign. Do not just sit back after voting. Ask what help they need and what work you can do as a volunteer. People affected need to take lead and work hard for any fix. This will not cost you any money. All you need to give is your time.
- Consider signing up for recurring contributions every month. It takes lot of resources to run an advocacy effort and your support is critical.

As of now there are more than 8000 views for this thread. If we just take that each of us might have visited this thread 50 times.. .That would still take us to 180 odd unique visitors...
and if you look the survey..JUST 90 Calls so far.. Why there is a disconnect here/??? because we postpone and don't do our part...

HLG has confirmed that the CIS is not returning I-485 Applications back to those who filed I-485 during the first week of July. This is leading many to speculate that the CIS may reverse course and re-re-amend the July Visa Bulletin; whether the Visa Bulletin actually reopens remains to be seen. HLG normally refrains from commenting on rumors, but we have talked to several Washington insiders and believe that this is seriously being considered.
