guys cool down it took them till end of May about 2 months to issue all receipt notices for H1 filed on Apr 2 this year. With the whole yes-no-yes situation this month they are definitely backlogged. Lets just wait till we actually get the receipts .

State chapters are a great mechanism to communicate with other members in your state and district. Please use that if it works for you.
However, if you cannot find someone to go with you, then go alone. Many of the meetings we do in Washington, sometimes we get appointments from 2 or 3 offices at the same time. In that case we split up and only one person goes to meet the lawmakers or staffers. But we cannot lose opportunities or miss opportunities.
So go alone if there is no one else in your district to go with you.

This trend of cases filed at NSC and transferred to CSC and then back to NSC have not received FP notices yet.
Intrestingly, the cases being transferred from NSC to CSC and then going to TSC are getting the FP notices. Sparky_jones got it. I just read above that one other persons went to there too. Please update us when you receive the FP notice and I am sure you will receive it soon.

Quick Chain of events .
India rejected both Boeing and Lockheed Martin's proposal of fighters . I am not debating the reasons or the merits of this decision if this was right or wrong . I am just discussing the potential repercussions this has had so far and might have .
'Exclusion of US firms from IAF jet deal a setback for ties' (http://www.indianexpress.com/news/exclusion-of-us-firms-from-iaf-jet-deal-a-setback.../783401/)
1) The issue is so serious that Tim Roemer , US Ambassador to India submitted his resignation immediately since he was on the hook for making this deal work .This shows the measure of disappointment they had.
2) India was seeking US assurances in security a Permanent Security council seat , which looks far fetched now .
4) Pentagon , Whitehouse and the DoD very upset that deal fell through . This sentiment will certainly percolate to the USCIS and the State department and might embolden Anti Immigration senators whose measures will get more support in the house and senate.
5) Prosecution of companies entangled in cases like Infosys might find more support and favor with the Govt.
Question is how/if there will be a backlash against India / Indian's get back at us at least in the short term .Increased scrutiny and visa denials , PoE Harassment , GC audits etc.
Will the US take a Tit-for-Tat reaction on this issue is what remains to be seen.
You guys only see your greencard hidden in every news story. At least you did not write now people will get more soft LUD because this deal fell through.
The US India relationship will now get better.

Invoked AC21 on September and sent all necessary docs. No LUDs then.

we all suffer, waiting for the administration/immigration policies to be humane to us..but honestly they've only gotten worse every year. the only good thing was the july bulletin but that also was becoz of the pressure from the big companies who'd already paid big bucks for immigration/attorney fees.
honestly here or back home no one really cares...we will get old, die tryin' perhaps but its true "might is right" and that is how the US embassy treats us.

I am trying to port EB3 to EB2 but can not find an employer who will file labur for EB2. Can some one send good Desi Employers by Private email.
Also I talked to one employer and he said that I have to bring experience certificate from current employer to show my experience for EB2. The current employer says he will give the experience certificate but write only one line. ..... Any tips here.
By the way kumars story is very interesting. Here some companies thinks following thats many who working Fortune 500 companies are in EB3 or nowhere.
EB1 : for God
EB2 : for Albert Einstein or equivalent or who can win Noble Prize, All other are not qualified
EB3 : Skilled worker with or without master, Like me and you.

and how are you so sure that all EADs that will be entering the market are freshers. My wife (now on H4) already has 4 years exp in UK (psychology) before coming to US. I know a lot of H4s who have 7+ yrs exp (may not be very recent as they couldn't work on H4). So most of them may not be freshers but yes, competition is always healthy.

I have seen such cases countless times in past few years and yes they will be in future without exception. However, matter of fact, these fresh EAD (previous H4) don't get the dream job in first attempt, it takes good 2 year to find a similar job that H1b hitech worker does.
But thats the realty of market, every year new jobs are added and every year new job seekers join the crowd.
On the otherside, a hitech worker is suppose to always learning something new and getting his/her position more stronger everyday, its a knowledge market, whoever knows more gets better $$. With my 7yr US exp and total 10 yrs CS exp I have no scare that any single fresh EAD will come close to me. A senior is always a senior no matter which field you talk.

I think you should write a Complaint letter to State Bar against attorney and second to the USCIS office which laisons with immigration attorneys
State bar (Because for a 485 application he is acting as fiduciary in your best interests).He may be liable for civil damages too
USCIS- Once you have revoked his G28 form on what legal authority did he represent you.
between these authorities you have "gotcha" because either this or that has been violated. Maybe you can even get damages /settlement( and be more generous to your benefactors:))

Guys as someone else has posted earlier, there is NO basis for asking for this.
CP was created for getting your GC if you are OUTSIDE the US. It is now being conveniently used by people within the US to circumvent certain issues and to get the process approved earlier. EAD and AP are for people WITHIN the US.
So please talk to a lawyer about finding out how to convert a CP to an AOS and you can apply for your EAD and AP. IV cannot keep adding to the list of things to ask for. This point has been stated by the core members over and over again. Currently you cannot have it both ways ie get ur GC quicker through CP AND in the meantime enjoy the interim benefits of the EAD/AP.
Whether you have contributed or not is besides the point. The contribution is to speed up the GC process not for what each individual or smaller set of individuals want for their custom needs.
BOTTOM LINES:
1) IV is fighting for the ENTIRE GC process to be faster.
2) IV Cannot keep changing its goals and what it stands for.
Sorry if this sounds harsh, but that is the way things are and have always been.

I have approached Times of India, Rediff and NDTV to have some coverage for this event. I guess the more coverage we will get the more people will respond.
How was the response? I have contacted the following " The Hindu, Deccan chronicle and some telugu and kannada newspapers and TV news channels" so far no responses, I am planning to speak to my dad and his friends (they retired from the news media recently) to get some responses, but whats the point. The July 2nd fiasco was very well publicized in India, rural India too, even a small village or mandal office issuing birth certificates knew abt the visa bulletin and its reversal!!! and what do we have now...non committal friends who are not interested to come to the rally and some even make fun of it!!
Anyways lets keep trying...
