Let me qualify by stating I don't have a D40x. There are a bunch of things you can do, depending on the specific problem. However, if you can set the autofocus points, then set the center point as the default. That way the camera will only focus on what's dead center in the lens.
You also need an aperature that will give enough depth of field. You don't necessarily need the whole shot in focus, just the right part of the shot. The exact aperature is going to depend on the size of lens you use. A telephoto will require a higher aperature than a wide angle lens to get more depth of field. There are DOF charts available on the internet. The aperature you use will also depend on whether you are using a flash. Also, are you sure it's a focus issue and not a motion issue. A bounce flash may not be the best way to stop action of a young'n.
It's really hard to diagnoze without specific examples but maybe this gets you started. I'm sure others will contribute as well.

This is an excellent move by the Indian govt and clearly takes aim at Indian people's contributions to US social security system. I like such bold steps and reciprocal measures.
Anyways going by the current economic trend it seems, Indian PF is much more reliable than US SSA or 401K where you could become bankrupt with your retirement anyday.

hey all i can't find where to post a new thread so hopefully I can hijack this quick.
I called the USCIS number for info but can't speak to an operator.
My wife is planning on traveling to hawaii in december. She will have her drivers license by then. She has her I-485, I-130, I-765 and some other M109109 (whatever that is).
she wants to know if its ok for her to travel to hawaii (from florida). it's in the united states so i can't imagine there being an issue. she will be traveling to ohio later that month and to me its the same thing. I'm just trying to get the opinion from someone who would know for sure.

Hawaii is an outlying US state. Going to Hawaii should be no different than flying between two cities within continental US.

Hi, continuing the same line of discussion, I have a slightly different question. Assuming the insurance company does not reimburse us for 485 medical exams, then can we atleast seek tax rebate on this expenditure? In other words, are the medical expenses incurred for 485 filing deductible at the time of tax filing?
Only if your total medical expenses for the year cross certain limits. These limits depend on your AGI. Please check IRS.gov website for latest updates.

My understanding is the same as Glus and Raj. However, I am also afraid that GCHope2011 might be right, in which case I might stay illegally more than 180 days if I wait long enough and would have to wait 3 years to get back to the U.S.
I was holding H4 visa before I started using the EAD.
Relinking the 485 with my approved NIW 140 is probably not going to work as my priority date for that is Feb,2008 and it is not current yet.
I definitely want to speak with an attorney so Gus I will PM you.

Then I filed another I-140 in Jan 2008 based on my original labor and it was approved in Feb 2008. All this time, my first I140 was pending and it was denied in Sep 2008. I thought I am ggoing to lose my I-485 because it was filed based on that.
My lawyers confirmed me from AILA Inquiry that my I-485 will still be active based on the I-140 approved in Feb 2008. You dont need any re-linking. All USCIS needs ti keep I-485 active is one approved I-140. I confirmed this with 2 Info pass appts. My I-485 is pre-adjudicated status and it has been 2 years...got multiple EADs, AP, travelled and came in..no issues...so dont worry. Your I-485 will be actibe based on your approved I-140. You dont need any re-links.

Seems like NVARS has introduced a new process which is supposed to be more streamlined for getting appointment online but I am not sure of some of it's verbage.

I've been impressed by Senator Graham's willingness to help move forward immigration reform, but this is really pathetic. Graham reported on his meeting today with President Obama and Senator Schumer. I did something different.
In the field "Date of last entry into US", by mistake i put the I-94 validity date. On I-94, there is the date paroled and also the I-94 valid until. By mistake i put in May 2010 instead of May 2009. I did submit the application. When i was sending the supporting documents, i put a cover letter asking them to correct the date. I have to see how they respond. Did anyone actually get this thing corrected. And does these things cause any delays in the processing of the EAD application.
