Hi:
I am a july 2nd filer but had issues with my checks since my Bank account got closed due to fraduent activity. So not being sure if my checks would get cleared I applied second time on Aug 17th. Yesterday the bank was successfuly able ot channel my July 2nd checks to my new account and hence I need to withdraw my second application since my first one went through successfully. I had originally filed at NSC, but got transferred to TSC. Can someone help me on the procedure how to withdraw my second application and also not lose money from the checks on the second application.

For a change, your employer sounds like a big time Joker.. ask him/her to take a break and be a joker on the road..
First and far most.. If your employer is really sending a cancellation letter to USCIS for your H1, he is trying to rub his own Ya$$.. the ultimate loser is not YOU, but He/She and his company.. No employer with brain will send an official cancellation letter..
On the other hand, you are still on H4 status and directly getting on to EAD, so, you never used the so called H1, which means, if he messes up with you, you will be intact.
Also your employer can not do anything for your husband as well for his 485 processing etc, again at 485 stage, your hubb's employer dont need to do anything other then your hubb is on payroll for 180 days from the receipt date of 485.
In a genral when your employer contacts you again, tell him to have fun in Honolulu :P no worries...

I think, you could wait for few more weeks. Sometimes, the delay may be due to the unavailability of appointment dates at the nearest uscis office. In your case, I guess it is Newark or New Jersey or whatever..which I guess is an office with lot of applicants under its jurisdiction.
If you apply this logic to a person from a remote place, that will answer why he receives a notice early.
Well I won't suggest you to wait for more than 6-8 weeks.

I don't think so...today I got the Card Production Ordered email , after attending the interview at a local office a month ago. My PD is 06/30/2004 . You should be getting it soon, good luck.

I am July 23rd concurent Filer (Texas service Center), day before yesterday received FP notice but no other reciepts. wrote email to Lawyer to update.
Guys, According to following URL, it seems that all july filers should get the RN by now irrespective of the processing centers. I am 24th July filer but still did not get the RNs so far. Are other ppl also in same boat? Please let me know. I am worried now.

If we don't stop this EB1C fraud completely by the MNCs for their so called managers, our EB3s will be the big loosers who are legally waiting for years and years having a very better qualifications and an experiances than any of the so called managers. This helps EB2 I & C to be current. Yes it will because every year we could expect about 25k spill over from EB1 itself. That helps for EB3s porting/spilling.

From my experience, if you file EAD/AP by yourself, all communications regarding EAD/AP will go to you. No need to file G-28. If you want all I-485 communication rerouted to you, you need to file G-28 and put yourself as a representative.
I could not find age restriction for EAD, you may try to file. However there are legal restrictions on child labor in US so I really doubt they will issue EAD for a minor (under 14 years). My friend cound not get EAD for 12 year old.

Receipt numbers are worthless in my case. My application is pending in the local service center and i see the status message from Aug 2004. After that I was scheduled an interview, I did FP, I attended an interview, got stuck in the stupid name check, took 2-3 INFOPASS appointments.

I have a similar question. I used AP and my I 94 will expire soon. How do you renew validity of I94. I do have a valid H1 till 2010. My EAD expired but I did not renew it as I don't intend to use it. AP also has to be renewed.
Please advise if I-94 has to be renewed or am I good as my H1 is valid.

A) 140 or 485 gets denied and you're on EAD (it means you've already given up your H-1B)
B) 140 gets denied and you're on H-1B (it means you can't use EAD and you can't even stay in this country for 3-4 months without a job on H-1B and still maintain your status)

if someone is on h1 status & have filed 485 in july 07. what happens when due to recession he/she is out of job (NO PAYROLL) for 3-4 months.
will the person have problems during 485 approval?? whats the possible negative that can happen in such god not willing situation
