I also stopped just about all aid flowing out to other countries. I'll let Sally Struthers and the affluent private sector contribute if they want to... that is, if the affluent have anything left after the mondo taxes I dropped on them. :D

More great news. I wonder where the limit on this growth will be?
As great as Macs are, the price will still be a determining factor at the end of the day. I don't see it getting as popular as PCs are. Maybe 20%?

Is it for ipad also? I currently have my macbook in for repair, could i update in with my friend's pc who has itunes in the meantime?

Yep, I'm one of them. Not to de-rail the thread, but I live about two blocks from a tiny tornado that popped down in the Birmingham area. No damage at my house, but three streets over there are no standing trees or power poles.
As for Tuscaloosa, jeez. I've never seen footage like this except for on Discovery Channel, in places like tornado alley. In the lower left hand corner you'll see my old law school, and behind it about a half-mile is the main Tuscaloosa hospital, DCH.
I'm so naive. I didn't think tornados like this were real, at least anywhere outside of known "tornado alley" kinds of places. Just awful.

It's right across from the Droid building where they only work 3 hours. That's why that group has a hard time catching up in OS development.

It's not the cost it's the size. I have two aging 12" powerbooks (rev a and c). The whole point of a laptop, sorry notebook, for me is the small size.
I am listening when you say the black isn't a good finish. I'm holding off my buy for a while yet :)
OK, I hear you. Seriously then, the white MacBook is a great machine. It's light-grey inside if that makes any difference to you ;)
But if you don't need a new laptop right now, it's always better to wait. Lucky for you that Macworld SF is just around the corner and something new always gets announced. I'd be surprised though if these laptops see any changes then though. The next update will be nearer summer 2007 I reckon, when Intel start shipping the 800Mhz bus Merom updates with Santa Rosa.

Windows 7 is a house with bars on the windows, and industrial locks on the doors...in Baltimore.
OSX is a house with no locks, in the middle of nowhere.
The security-through-obscurity myth of OS X has long been debunked. Do you know what the most used computer OS in the world is? Linux. And there are very, very few viruses for linux.
The rampant virus ecosystem is a flaw in Windows, not an inherent fact of all operating systems.
Macs have a decent market share and a very large mindshare, but yet are still virus free (though there have been a couple trojans that fizzled out).

you also got to look at people that don't have new or fast computers (i currently fall in this category) and people that don't have a fast internet connection (like people that live to far out of town where they cant get high-speed ) or people that like to have a original copy AKA a dvd to take to another house to watch. that is the people that is buying audio cd's and dvd movies from wally world. so even tho if apple got every studio for ITMS it would not affect those buyers then would it.
wally world needs to see the point, that they are going to be the retail store version of M$
i for one am for ITMS to get all it can to become what it can be. skrew wall-marts they just lost another customer for this bull crap

Nice upgrade, the color options on the small and big ones are kind of lame, but I hope they will work with a firewire to dock cable for those of us without USB 2.
