Apple, you have that fixed in iTunes yet? I'd like to see the Cancel button actually work and also the ability to selectively rip or bypass any one song I want to on my disk.
You can do that now. Put in a CD and deselect the check mark to the left for any song you don't want ripped. I do it all the time.

It's fascinating how quickly the Democrat party has turned into the party of war...
A couple of points, 5P ...
1. I have never supported this latest military action. All I did in my posts was to point to the law that allows Obama to do what he did. It's the same law that's been used to justify numerous military actions since it's passing by both Democrats and Republicans alike. Pointing to a law and saying "this" is why something is allowed is not the same as endorsing either the law or the action that it permits.
2. Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, John Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson, and Bill Clinton are proof that Democrats have long been willing and able to use the military. The unfortunate truth is that both parties have been "parties of war" to this very day.

Um free is for a limited time only and you have to buy a $1000+ computer. Anyone who buys a $1000+ Mac should get a break on an iPod too. There is a reason why there is a whole education section on the Apple Online Store. Without students support, the iPod wouldn't be anywhere near the cultural icon that it is. Guess what, most students don't have a set income but their patronage is very important to Apple and iPods in general. And I'm 25, Mommy and Daddy haven't payed for me for a long time. Apparently only nine cases of exploding/flammable batteries have been documented.
And if you don't send it back they will bill you. The cost for not returning the defected battery will be stated in the packaging of the replacement.

I have the sneaking suspicion Gates didn't have much trouble with the ladies... considering while most people were offering drinks, he was offering weekend trysts to remote islands off the cost of Fiji.

I'd be fine with waiting till fall to upgrade my 3GS if it meant LTE. Yes, I know the tech is nascent but the timing would seriously suck for entering a 2 year contract on a phone without it. That's the main problem. I don't want to have to wait till 2013 or upgrade after just one year (and there's no guarantee either carrier would allow it).

my 2 macbook for business came out of the box with 3 screws so would that indicate that they serviced that macbooks before they were shipped to me
No. It has been established already that all the MacBooks have 3 screws. Mine was one of the first to arrive in the UK and It has 3 screws. The pic you just saw is actually from page 6, posted to show how it had 3 screws. This is a photoshop job.

Well that's good to hear. My FCP-related fears were mostly quelled by that amazing demo, but I was still worried about how they didn't mention Color as a standalone app. Sounds like I may not have to worry about that either.

I ordered a 20" iMac a couple of weeks ago, but it hadn't been dispatched yet (in fact, it was due to be dispatched today). The Apple order status site was down earlier, until just after the Apple Store came back up with the new iMacs, and lo and behold, my order has been replaced with a 20" iMac Core 2 Duo!
They've even upgraded the RAM to 2GB (I'd paid for an upgrade to 1GB on the original order), and dropped the price I pay!
So top marks to Apple - a brand new iMac, specced higher than the original, for �80 less! I don't know many other manufacturers that would do this - it's the kind of service that keeps Apple customers loyal.
The only downside is, I was expecting it to be delivered on Friday but now I have to wait until the 19th! But really, I don't mind!

What's worse, it's more powerful than my dual G5 tower. And my machine is only 2 years old! Same with my 12" PowerBook. All in all, for what I paid for my PB, today for the same cash, I can buy a machine with 8x the computing power. Maybe if I wait another two years to upgrade, computing power would be 64x!! :)
Sad, isn't it? I also have a Dual G5 (2.0GHZ) and my new MBP C2D runs circles around it. But, it's still fast ebough for what I use it for, so no Mac Pro upgrade for me.
