I am just going to wait, I know if I get an iphone 4 now then in 4-6 months the iphone 5 comes out I will be kicking myself. Its just like I couldnt wait a few months for the 3gs when I got the iphone 3g. I was kicking myself.

Sorry to hear about your experience. No company is perfect and every one screws up sometime or other. In my years of experience with Apple, they seem to screw up a whole lot less than any other computer maker I've ever dealt with. For instance, I had to sue a certain Texas company to get them to honor their warranty. Never had to do that with Apple. :)

It's interesting that in a previous post, an Apple Store employee mentions the Best Buy ads having been set in place before the Japan Earthquake.
The Target I stopped at on my way to my Flash Animation course last Tuesday had a note in the iPad case saying that stock was delayed due to the Earthquake as well.

I really don't think throwing more money/services at the problem is going to accomplish anything, which is what Sweden seems to be doing, albeit not in a direct way. We've been taking a similar course in education for longer than I've been alive, yet the achievement gap remains (it was in another thread here where I posted that in the US, blacks typically underperform relative to whites by about 1σ).

In your case though, companies have alternatives to get their product out. The App store is virtually a monopoly. So, a company could spend months developing an app and have it rejected for any reason. Then, they would have no alternative to make the development cost back.
We were affected by the Three20 project rejections also. It cause a delay for us which in turn caused a delay to a client. They weren't too happy about it. That said, we tell all clients that we do not control Apple's process and the risk of delays is there.
It is frustrating and hopefully they make a change soon to alleviate some of these problems.

I would certainly not want to be a consultant trying to promise an iPhone solution to a company. Basically, you throw the ball over the 10' wall to Apple and hope it comes back.

Movies purchased from the iTunes Store can't be burned to a DVD or VCD that will play in a DVD player or Video CD.
How is apple service different from Amazon?. Other than a pretty interface (last time i checked, pretty interfaces did not save me money or help pay the bills).. what's different?. This Constitutional issue is something of a moot point... Congress has only declared war FIVE times in the history of the country (the War of 1812, Mexican-American, Spanish-American, WWs I&II). There are 125 occasions where the President has acted with no approval from Congress. Also, the War Powers Resolution is essentially valid, as it has never been tested by courts.
In my personal view, I'm fine with the president being able to enact a limited amount of military action, as long as there are no long-term liabilities for the country. Congress is so juvenile, inefficient, and bitchy that I'm fine with not having to rely on them every time there is a clear humanitarian need to act.

No way I'm going to do this update. This will not benefit me in any way whatsoever. At most, it'll ignore any "true" problem and not shut down when necessary...
Isn't everyone assuming here that the root problem is a heatsink issue? Has Apple ever announced that it was? Perhaps it isn't at all, or that's only part of the equation, and it is in fact an SMC control problem. There's a lot of FUD here - people saying they've had extra screws drilled in their MacBooks which is total BS.
I wouldn't try second-guessing Apple engineers. If they've released an update recommended to make the MacBook more reliable, I say use it.

Hard drives would not be good AT ALL for an iPod Touch. Apps depend on the instant access that flash memory allows for using data, so a hard drive would slow the whole process up, especially on the processor size.
